chaewon opened her mouth to say something, saw seungmin next to me, looked shocked, then walked away into the afterschool building.
"wait--" i shouted. "seungmin, see you tomorrow, okay? bye!"
without waiting for seungmin to say bye back, i dashed into the building after chaewon.
not long after, i found her talking to a few of her friends. i was about to walk up to her when i realized, what was i even going to say?
umm... screw this, i need to explain to her somehow.
i started walking towards chaewon when the tutor announced that class was starting.
sighing, i sat down in my seat. i'll talk to her later.
☆☆☆
once it was break time, i quickly walked over to chaewon's desk.
"chaewon!"
chaewon looked at me, then proceeded to walk away.
"wait!" i shouted, grabbing her arm. "can we talk? please?"
chaewon rolled her eyes, but motioned for me to follow her outside.
we sat down on a bench outside the building.
"so?" chaewon crossed her arms over her chest. "why were you with kim seungmin?"
"i..." i racked through my brain to come up with something. "i was trying to convince him to get introduced to you!"
chaewon looked at me with an i'm-not-buying-it face.
"i'm serious! he said he'll think about it," i lied.
"...for real?" chaewon seemed to start believing me.
"yeah, the reason why he came to our lunch table earlier was because he wanted to get to know you better before making a decision!"
i was blabbing nonsense, but gladly, chaewon looked happy again.
"you should've told me!" chaewon chuckled. "i thought you were secretly dating seungmin or something!"
then i remembered what seungmin said earlier.
'i could just date you. then i would get to sit with you at lunch, right?'
"n-no way! i would be betraying you, then," i said to chaewon.
"aw, minjoo, you're so nice," chaewon smiled. "then seungmin is sitting with us starting tomorrow, right?"
"yeah," i said.

seungmin

i thought about it and

seungmin: yay! :)----------
i sighed. i hope i'm doing the right thing.
☆☆☆
the next day at school, chaewon looked very happy.
i assumed she was really excited for lunch time to come.
