The main office of the Green Meadows Motel was again filled with green smoke. Ol' Bear Mitts grit his teeth as he thought about devious ways he could get back at that 'punk kid and his girlfriend.' He looked over at the clock; it was time for another Bob and Ike show. He grabbed a dirty Cheetos encrusted TV controller then slammed his hand down on the desk killing a large cockroach. After a few slaps Bear Mitts pushed the batteries back into the control and changed the channel on the TV:"Whoo-wee Bob! Have I got a story for you!" exclaimed Ike, his bolo tie flying in the air.
"Pray tell Ike, I am certainly excited to know what this news is," replied Bob.
"Well, Bob, feast yer eyes on this," said Ike holding up two photographs of a man and a woman.
"And who could these young fellows be you ask," said Ike. "Hey, uh Jake? Can we get a close up shot here?"
The camera zoomed in on the pictures, the man first then the woman. The first picture showed Vince giving a big toothy grin and a cheesy thumbs up. The second was of Laura wearing a lot of makeup, a headshot to send to modeling agencies.
"We just received these from the FBI asking that if anyone has seen this couple around they are to report it immediately to the following number," said Ike as a phone number the color of mustard yellow moved across the screen.
The TV screen switched to a side-by-side view of Vince and Laura."So apparently, this young gentleman is one of Battery City's finest detectives and goes by the name Vincent Kato. He is best known for his unorthodox ways of fighting crime. So all of you citizens out there that go to BC Bank, you have him to thank for the temporary shutdown...," said Bob.
"To add to that, you know what I heard?" said Ike.
"What did you hear, Ike?"
Ike looked back and forth and leaned in close to Bob as if he were harboring a great secret.
"I heard that the investigators accounted for several C-4 explosives that caused the explosion. However, the experts are saying that they believe two explosives were stolen from the crime scene. Apparently, two of the C-4 setups were missing from the evidence lock up,"
"Whoah, Ike! Who would do such a strange thing? I guess we can only hope the FBI can figure that mess out as well. It's a shame we don't have more on this story though," said Bob.
"Well, surprise, surprise. Woo-Wee! Look at what I have here." Ike pulled out a small controller from his leisure suit to control the projector screen behind him. "We actually have footage sent in from an eye witness at one of Detective Kato's crime scenes last year. He sent us a clip from his phone that is now a big hit on YouTube."
The TV screen changed to a granulated video of Vince jumping out the bank window and landing on a man dressed as a giant piece of lard holding flyers as an explosion goes off in the background. This would have been the end of it, however the YouTube user had remixed the video of Vince repeatedly hitting the man in the lard suit to the 'Guile theme song.' To add to the video's humor, dub-stepped voiceovers from Mortal Kombat were dubbed in. Words like "fight!", "finish him!", and "fatality!" flashed across the screen.
"Whoo-Wee! That video sure was something, wasn't it Ike?" said Bob.
"You betcha there, Bob," replied Ike.
"Well, that's all the time we have now for our breakthrough update. We would like to thank Ace-midgette6748 for sending us the video footage. And again, if you see these suspects, please call the number on the screen. Remember, if it's real news, you heard it here first." concluded Ike.
Bear Mitts turned from the TV with a solemn look. A large smile crossed his face. Sitting down and putting his feet up, Bear Mitts grabbed the phone and dialed. He puffed on his cigar with one hand and picked up the newspaper with the other.
"Yes, this is ... a concerned citizen, I have some news I think you will be very interested in."
