It was around 3 in the morning when Delaney was driving back from seeing her mom in Atlanta where she lived. She was on the county line when her car died "Shit.." she said as she punched her steering wheel.
She got her phone and saw that it was at 20% battery she googled a tow company and the first one that came up was "Barnes Auto Shop and Towing." But she didn't think to check the hours when she did.
"Hi This Barnes Auto Shop and Towing we are closed currently but if you leave your name and number and we will get back to you. If you are calling for a tow please leave the location of the car and the number we can locate you to let you know that we picked it up. Thanks." was the voicemail.
She sighed then it beeped "Hi this is Delaney Cooper I need a tow my car is a white dodge charger it's on the county line of Clearview and Marshallville. " she said then she left her number even though she knew that was pointless cause her phone was about to die.
She couldn't call Aiden cause he would be to drunk to come pick her up and her dad was working. She sighed and turned it off then climbed in her back seat and went to sleep.
The next morning Bucky opened up the shop with his brothers he pressed play on the voicemail. He leaned over the counter to write down the info when he heard Delaney he wrote it all down then he got the tow truck keys.
"You got it Buck" Ryder said
"Yeah." he said as he got in the tow truck.
He pulled up he went to get the keys out of the ignition when he seen her sleeping. "Delaney.." Bucky said
She jumped awake "Who are you?' she said
"Barnes Auto Shop." he said
"Oh.." she said as she got out the car.
"Um yeah Delaney Cooper that's me.." she said
"Why were you sleeping in your car.." he said
"Because my boyfriend was to drunk to come get me and um my dad was working. So then my phone died." she said
"Okay.." he said then he started hitch her car to his tow truck.
He opened the passenger door of the tow truck "Get in." he said
"Oh thanks." she said as she climbed up in it.
"You can just drop me off at the hospital that's where my dad works." she said
"Okay.." he said
Bucky pulled into the hospital and dropped her off at the door. He got back to the shop and was shaking his head. Ryder said 'What?' as he helped him get the car off the hitch "Delaney Cooper was asleep in her car..she said that she had no one to come get her and her phone died so I had to drop her off at the hospital." he said
"Wow.." Steve said
"Yeah." he said
He popped the hood open "Damn.." Sam said when they saw her car. Bucky started to check everything. He changed her oil and air filter then checked her radiator and battery and he shook his head. He closed the hood then got on the rolling board looked underneath checked her brake lines and pads.
He checked her lights "She's got a back tail light out James.." James said as he came in.
Bucky fixed her tail light then opened her hood back up and jumped her battery as Ryder started it up. Bucky called the number she left on the voicemail "hello.." she said as she was laying in her bed.
"Hi Ms Cooper this is James from Barnes Auto Shop just wanted to let you know that your car is ready to be picked up." Bucky said
"Okay thanks' She said
She went downstairs and asked her step mom to take her to pick it up. She pulled in with Sutton. She went inside "Hi I'm looking for James." she said
"Which one.." Sam said
"Um .." she said
Bucky came down from his dad's office "That one." she said
"Bucky..Ms Cooper is here." Sam said
He grabbed her keys off the desk and her receipt "Follow me Ms Cooper." he said
She followed him outside "I replaced your air filter and a broken taillight. I also changed your oil and you are going to need a new battery soon it's on it's last leg" he said
"Okay thank you." she said as she hands him her credit card and he used the portable card reader and pulled his pen out from his ear "Sign here" he said.
"Thanks again' she said as she gave him his pen back and took her card. He walked back in and made sure the door shut "She may be gorgeous but she is very stuck up." he said
"Yeah" Sam said as he continued to work on a car that was brought in.
