Corbyn's POV
One night, I was out taking pictures. Something I did on the regular, being the avid photographer I am. I was walking down the street just outside my nieghborhood, on the sidewalk. I was passing a small daycare, and just outside the daycare, there was a soccer field. The hot summer air was stick, and I could tell that it would rain that night. Happy sounds flowed around me, of buzzing bees, laughing children, barking puppies. But another happy sight stood in front of me, on the soccer field. A boy and his dog ran across the green field, barking and laughing. The boy, who looked about my age, was throwing a ball for his dog, and whenever the dog would bring the ball back, the boy would smile and cheer. "Good boy!" he said for the tenth time. A small blush covered my cheeks, and I took a seat on the sidewalk to watch them. The sky was darkening, and a crimson stained orange coated the heavens. Indigo clouds swirled around, casting shadows against the setting sun. The boy continued to play with his dog, and I raised my camera. I snapped a picture just as the boy was congratulating his puppy, his face grinning with boyish pleasure, hair mussed and sweaty, hugging his best friend. I took a closer look at the picture. It was perfect, really. A few days from now, even months, I would probably glimpse at the picture, then stare at it longingly. That perfect picture of happiness was amazing. To be able to capture something so pure, so innocent, was an incredible opportunity. In that moment, I knew what I had to do. Gathering my courage, I jogged down the hill to the boy and his dog. I watched them play for a moment, then walked over to the boy. "Hi. I'm Corbyn, can I pet your dog?" I glimpsed up at the boy, and he grinned at me. "Sure. I'm Daniel, by the way." He continued to smile as I knelt down and let the dog sniff my hand. Then I caressed its head in my hands, lovingly rubbing its soft ears. "Oh, and his name is Zeus," Daniel informed me."Aww, what a cute name. What kind of dog is he?""A border collie. Do you have a dog?" he asked. "Nope, but I wish I did," I replied as I stood up and brushed off my pants. Zeus nudged my leg, hoping for more, but I ignored him. "oh, I hope you don't mind, but I took a picture of you and Zeus earlier. I don't meen to be creepy or anything, I just thought you guys looked cute." "Can I see it?" Daniel asked, sounding eager and pleased. To add to his tone of voice, his face was lit up in an excited smile. "sure," I said as I showed him the camera. His eyebrows raised in surprise, and then his eyes crinkled in laughter. "I didn't know I looked that good on camera," he smirked. "But seriously, this is great. Do you think you could send me a copy?" "Yeah, sure," I agreed. He wrote down his email adress and phone number for me, and I promised to send it to him soon. "It was nice meeting you and Zeus. I hope I see you around!" "You too!" he shouted as we went our separate ways. I really hope we get to see each other soon, and I hope that maybe, we'll become really good friends.
