3 YEARS LATER
[An alarm clock starts ringing and a young teenager's hand stops it and we see a young teenage girl getting up from her bed. She touches her hair and looks around, she walks to the bathroom and looks herself at the mirror]
Lanys: (scared) aaahhh!!!
[A voice is heard from outside the bathroom door]
Karl: Are you okay, sis?
[Lanys looks at herself and notices that her body has changed and she answers back to Karl]
Lanys: (confused) Yes...
Karl: Are you sure?
Lanys: (confused) Yes...
Karl: Okay, Ma just placed breakfast on the table, hurry up you don't want to be late for your first day of middle school.
Lanys: (confused) middle school?
30 MINUTES LATER
[Lanys comes out of her bedroom and she looks at Karl which is reading the newspaper, which she notices the date]
Lanys: August 12, 1993?
Karl: Yeah, dummy. Your first day of middle school. You should be excited.
[Lanys sits and grabs a toast and puts it in her mouth]
Karl: You look nervous. Don't be, middle school is when you literally mature, and you never know if you make new friends there.
[Lanys stays quiet and looks at Karl]
Karl: Sis, are you okay?
[Lanys keeps chewing on her toast and nods that she is okay]
Karl: Good, remember to chain up the bicycle when you get there. Middle School is way different than Elementary, you know.
Lanys: (softly) I know.
[Lanys looks at her hands and notices that she's grown. She checks her pockets and she takes out the silver pocket watch and looks at it. After a few moments, she puts it away and looks at Karl]
Lanys: So did you kiss her at prom?
[Karl looks strangely at Lanys]
Karl: Prom? That was three years ago? Are you okay?
[Karl stands up and touches the forehead of Lanys to check if she has a fever]
Karl: You feel normal.
Lanys: Sorry, I was just thinking about your prom.
Karl: Why? You weren't there. And you know what happened.
[Lanys stays quiet and looks at Karl]
Lanys: I just like that story.
Karl: You like that story? What's wrong with you? I almost went to prison, because I punched the principal.
Lanys: (surprised) What????
Karl: Yeah, you forgot that May and I were dancing in the prom and when we were about to kiss...the Principal came out and stopped the Prom because he found marijuana in the girl's bathroom.
Lanys: Yeah, but that wasn't a reason to punch him.
Karl: I was never going to punch him.
