Chapter eight

Zion's POV
I wake up to Simba crawling on top of me. I smile. I get up and head into
Kc's room to hang out with her. She wasn't in there so I assumed she was downstairs. No sign of her. I go into the garage to find Brandon, Nick, and Austin. They were working on music.
"Hey have you guys seen Kc?" I ask them.
"Yeah she went with Edwin to the mall" Brandon says not looking up from his laptop.
"What? Why?" I make a face. I don't know why but I felt weird thinking about Edwin hanging out with Kc.
I check Instagram, Edwin had posted a mirror picture of him and Kc. I turn my phone off and scratched my head.
"Looks like someone's a lil jealous" Nick says laughing at me.
"I'm not jealous, I don't even have a reason to be jealous" I say folding my arms. I really wasn't jealous, Kc can hang out with the other boys, I don't care.
"So you don't mind that Edwins gonna ask her out?" Austin asks me. I feel my face turn red.
"He's gonna ask her out?" I ask. They laugh at me.
"Zion you are so jealous" Brandon adds on. "You obviously got the hots for Kc"
"I don't!" I say standing up. I felt like a seven year old telling my friends I don't have a crush. "Look, me and Kc are just friends you hear me. I don't like her"
"Don't like who?" Edwin says walking into the garage.
"Where's Kc?" I ask him.
"Right here?" Kc says from behind him. I sigh in relief. I give her a hug. Austin, Brandon, and Nick start coughing really loudly.
"What's going on?" She asks me confused.
"Nothing, I just got worried since you weren't home" I explain. "But now that you're here, you wanna go hang out in my room? I can show you how good I am at fortnite" I say nudging her arm.
"Sure Z" She laughs.
We go upstairs and Kc lays on my bed watching me play.
"I thought you were good at this game?" She asks me picking up her phone. I turn to look at her.
"Excuse me? I am good" I respond.
"Eh, not really" She says.
"Oh so it's like that huh?" I say jumping onto her. She laughs as I lay on top of her.
"You didn't need to jump me" She says laughing. I look into her eyes. Suddenly my hearts beating really fast. She's so beautiful, her eyes sparkle, her lips are perfect, her smile is gorgeous, she's just so perfect. I look at her lips. I close my eyes and lean in to kiss her.
Kc's POV
Zion stares at me for a while, just smiling at me. I smile back. I see him close his eyes and lean in.
"Woah Zion" I push him off and sit up.
"What you doing?" I ask him.
"What- I thought- We were just-" he stumbles over his words.
"I thought you liked me like that" he finally says. I didn't know what to say.
"I gotta go unpack" I tell him and rush into my room. I close the door and sit with my back against the door. My emotions were running wild. Fuck.
