Chapter nine

A couple days later.
Kc's POV
I've been avoiding Zion ever since he tried to kiss me. I just don't know what to tell him. I like him, but I just got of a relationship and we just met, I don't want to rush into things. I go downstairs and sit next to Austin and Edwin. Edwin is the only one that knows what happened, he's really helped me a lot these past days.
"How's it goin Ed?" I ask him.
"Spectacular" He says getting himself a bowl of cereal.
"Hey Kc, we throwing a banger tonight so be ready" Brandon says as him and Nick walk into the kitchen.
"Oh it's Kc's first party with us!" Edwin says. I smile. I'm actually excited, I haven't been to a party in forever. Isaiah was always be super overprotective and wouldn't allow me to go without him.
Zion walks in and grabs Simba's leash.
"Zion you want some Breakfast?" Austin asks him. I keep my head down, avoiding eye contact.
"No, I'm taking Simba for a walk, I'll just postmates something when I get back" he says walking out of the house.
Nick turns to me.
"What's up with Zion lately?" He asks me. "He's been so... off"
I shrug my shoulders.
"Cmon Kc, you're Zion's best friend, you gotta know what's been going on" Brandon says. Edwin frowns.
"Hey! I'm Zions best friend!" He says.
The boys ignore him.
"Are you sure you don't know what's going on with him?" Nick asks me.
I felt my face get red.
"Guys she said she doesn't know, leave her alone" Edwin snaps.
"Jeez Ed we were just asking" Nick says leaving the kitchen.
Later that night.
(Still Kc's POV)
I was getting ready for the party when I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in" I yelled, I assumed it was Edwin.
"Are you ready to partyyy-" I stop. It's Zion.
"Can we talk" he says sitting on my bed. I nod and sit with him.
"I'm sorry" he starts as he looks down at my bedding.
"No Zion. You don't have to do this" I interrupt him. "I like you Zion. A lot"
He looks up at me.
"Wait. Really?" He asks. I smile.
"I just don't think I'm ready to be in a relationship right now" I tell him.
"Right now... so you're saying there is a chance? In the future?" He asks me.
I grab his face.
"Of course" I tell him. "I just need you to wait for me"
He nods. I smile and hug him.
"For you, I'd wait forever" he whispers as he buries his face in my shoulder. I close my eyes and smile. I feel butterflies in my stomach. Zion's so good to me. We release from the hug and head downstairs where the party had already started. Zion introduces me to all of his friends. I met Duane, Parker, Haley, Diamond, Aubrey, and the rest of the 360 gang. Zion and I hang out the entire night, dancing, singing, drinking, it was overall a great party.
I look over to the couch and see Edwin sitting by himself.
"I'll be right back" I tell Zion. He nods and I walk over to Edwin.
"Hey, you good?" I ask Edwin. He shakes his head.
"You wanna go upstairs?" I ask him. He nods and we make our way towards my room.
"What's wrong Ed?" I ask him. He looks at me for a minute then hugs me. I hug him back.
"No really Edwin what is going on?" I ask him releasing from the hug. He looks into my eyes and grabs my hands. Before I knew it he was leaning in. I froze. I didn't know what to do. I just stood there. Edwin's lips crashed onto mine. I push Edwin off of me.
"Wow" I hear someone on the doorway say. My heart sinks. It was Zion.
