Here I am,
Reading the words, "in loving memory."
As the clouds depart,
The sun gives a ceremony.

How you used your grey sticks to walk,
And your crooked glasses to read,
I couldn't ask for a better person,
But now I just want to plead.

Everyone adored you;
You were simply the best.
But I'm afaird your time is over,
May you lay your body to rest.

Granny cannot stop crying,
Using her old handkerchief to blow.
Leaving family and friends behind,
I know I am at my low.

Grandad you were my hero,
Never failing to make me smile.
Yet I can hear you whisper,
"don't worry, sweetheart. You'll see me again in a little while."
