(Niall’ P.O.V)

The mystery ghost led us to a graveyard.

"Why are we here?" I asked him.

"This place is full of death, it will be easier to get to the other side from here." He said. We all stood there like idiots waiting for him to tell us what to do. We waited for a while until we saw a strange mist in front of us. The same kind of mist that took Mara. It wasn’t a normal mist…it made you want to run away as fast as you could.

"Just walk in to the mist and you’ll be there." He told us.

"And how do we get back?" I asked.

"Once you’ve found Mara, find an archway with the same mist as this. It will lead you back." He said. I turned to the boys.

"Last chance if anyone wants to back out." I told them.

"We’re with you all the way Niall." Liam said and the others nodded. We all stepped through.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was surprised when we ended up in what seemed like a long corridor.

"Where to now?" Zayn asked.

"Hey, what do you think these numbers mean?" Harry asked pointing to the front of a door.

"I don’t know." I said. I looked around as if Mara was just going to step through a door and jump into my arms at any minute.

"You looking for someone?" we all turned to see a woman standing by a door.

"Yeah, a girl called Mara." Zayn said. We all hit him on his arm.

"Don’t tell her." Louis whispered to Zayn.

"Don’t tell me? Really? Well that’s a shame…especially since I can help you find her. But if you don’t want me to…?" she raised her eyebrows.

"No. We’d like your help." I said. She smiled.

"So you’re looking for Mara, yes?" she asked.

"Yes, do you know where she is?" I questioned her.

"Indeed I do. She’s been taken to court." The woman said.

"Court?" I asked.

"Yeah, a court for people who have died. It’s to decide whether they go to hell or heaven, judging on what they done whilst they were alive." She told us.

"Where’s the court?" I asked her.

"Door 132." She said. "But be careful. They don’t like it when the living cross over."

"Thanks." I mumbled before heading to door 132, where the guys were waiting for me.

We all burst through the door into what looked like a normal court room. There was a judge who was standing at the front of the room. She turned to look at us.

"Who are you?" she asked us.

"We’re One Direction." Louis stated as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"We’re here for Mara." Liam said. Then my eyes fell on Mara. She was shocked, but clearly pleased too.

"You can’t just walk in here and demand to take Mara." The judge told us. I turned to her.

"Please. I need Mara in my life. She means everything to me." I begged.

"Hmm…" she flicked through some papers then turned back to me. "You may take Mara back with you…on one condition." At this the boys and I exchanged looks.

"Anything." I told her.

"You must leave One direction" She said. We were all shocked. But I knew what I had to do.

"Ok." I replied.

"No, Niall. That’s not fair. Just let me go." Mara tried to convince me, but it was no use because I had already made up my mind.

"I’m sorry Mara, but I can’t lose you." I told her. I turned to the guys. "I’m so sorry boys."

"It’s ok dude." Zayn said.

"Yeah, I now see why you like her so much." Louis winked and I laughed lightly.

"Me too, where can I get one?" Harry asked.

"We’ll miss you Niall. But we understand." Liam said.

"I’ll miss you guys too." I told them. We had a group hug.

"It’s not going to be the same without you." Liam said as we pulled apart.

"Niall…" I turned to see Mara standing beside me. "Why would you do that? Do you even realise what you’re giving up? Your band, your fame, your friends, a normal relationship…" she trailed off.

"I don’t care. As long as I have you I’ll be happy." I told her. We began to leave.

"Mara?" the judge called.

"Yes?" Mara asked, but the judge simply gestured her to go over to her. The judge then whispered something to Mara who nodded before joining us again.

"What did she say?" I asked Mara once we had left the room.

"Oh, nothing." She said and we went through the misty archway back to the world of the living.
