Deadlox's POV

"Well guys, I think it's about time we go back to the overworld. We're not gonna get anymore luck for today." I say. A chorus of "yeah" echoes around the fortress.

"Who remembers the way out?" Asks sky.

"Oh oh me! I do! Pick me!" Bashur is bouncing off the walls. Looks like someone had a bit too much excitement.

"No one? Ok then we'll just follow Bashur." He says with a look of disappointment.

"YES! This way!"

I laugh. I'm glad Bashur came with us, otherwise we would've given up hope in ever finding a skull.

"There! The bridge! I see it!"

Sky and I glance over to where he is pointing. That bridge looks a lot longer when your further away. Out of the corner of my eye I see Sky lean forward and squint his eyes.

"What are you looking at?" I ask.

"Are there other people on the bridge?"

"There shouldn't be." This is confusing me. No one ever visits the nether. Not after the incident.

"Let's go down and see who it is." Says Bashur while reaching for his sword.

We creep down to the exit while trying not to make a sound. For all we know, these people could want trouble. Or want to take a holiday, in which case they should rethink their location. Out of the corner of my eye I see a wave from Sky that disrupts my thoughts. He signals for us to be quiet. Bashur looks at me and I know what he's trying to say. I should try and look at who they are, and how well they're kitted out. Another glance from Sky is enough to convince me to poke my head around the corner.

Walking across the bridge are two people that I don't recognise. One is wearing is wearing iron armour and is looking very nervous, like at any second he will fall. My eyes widen as the other comes into view. He's wearing full diamond armour and is parkouring like a pro. That's not someone I wanna mess with. I duck back inside and whisper my findings to the group.

"I say we go and attack them." Says Bashur. I shake my head. That won't work, besides we don't know if they're a threat.

"Deadlox, you go out there and talk to them. If you get in any trouble you can always parkour back." States Sky. I consider this.

"Ok I'll do it. Hopefully they don't wanna fight." I take a deep breath and walk outside onto the bridge.

"Who are you?" I ask them. The diamond guy speaks first.

"I'm iballisticsquid and this is stampylongnose. Who are you?"

"My names Deadlox, and I'm here with Bashur and skydoesminecraft. We were just leaving as you arrived."

"Ok then, could you step aside so we can head in?" Asks the one who must be stampylongnose.

I nod and move out of thier way when I see Sky staring and iballisticsquid. And not in a good way either. He looks like he's about to punch him.

"Dude, you ok?" I ask. He ignores me and walks straight over to iballisticsquid.

"Get out of my sight you worthless traitor." He growls.

I look over and Bashur and stampylongnose. They both shake their heads at me. They're as clueless as I am. I continue to watch the fight and I hear iballisticsquid laugh.

"Make me." He replies and draws his sword. Sky pulls his out too.

Then the battle starts. Iballisticsquid makes the first move and blindly slashes his sword, but Sky thinks fast and blocks it. Squid lashes out again and again and keeps the attacks coming. Sky is constantly defending himself leaving no time for him to hit back. Out of nowhere there is a ghast explosion in the corner of the room making us all jump, including the two fighters. However, Sky uses this time to attack Squid. He aims for his legs. If it hits him, he will be knocked to the ground, unable to stand. But unbelievably, the plan fails and Squid jumps up 5 metres in the air. This move leaves everyone in the room speechless.

"How the nether did you do that?" Asks Sky.

"Potion of leaping you idiot. Remember? Notch just found the recipe for it." He rolls his eyes and before Sky has a chance to reply, he is sent crashing to the ground by a kick to the back. Sky struggles to get back on feet but he is pinned firmly to the ground. Squid raises his sword and presses it against his neck.

"Any last words?" He asks with a cruel grin on his face. Sky doesn't reply, he just lays there looking up at Squid with pure hatred.

"Didn't think so." He exclaims and let's him go. "That was fun, seeing the budder lord helpless. Now if you ever speak to me again, I will not show mercy."

"Come on stamps. Let's go."

"What was that? And where are we going?" Asks Stampy frantically.

"To find a different fortress," He replies, clearly trying to avoid the first question. "Now come on."

They walk off leaving Bashur and I speechless. What was that about? How do they know each other? Why the massive fight? I am about to ask Sky this when the floor starts violently shaking. I hear shouts coming from outside.

"Get down!" I yell. It must be some sort of earthquake.

"What the heck?" I hear Bashur shout.

This never happens. Not in the nether anyway. Most earthquakes occur in the overworld. Then it hit me. This is not an earthquake. Someone or something is controlling it. But who would do that? Notch? A drunk dude? No, this is ridiculous. It has to be someone else. At that moment the shaking stops and we all wearily rise to our feet.

"Is everyone ok?" I ask. Multiple answers echo around the room, but I don't hear Bashur.

"Bashur?! Where are you?" I call out. A groan comes from outside the doorway. I whip my head around and see Bashur sprawled out along the netherrack. I rush over but immediately stop as a figure emerges in front of him. He -or she- is wearing a black hooded cloak, that completely hides their face. However, they appear to be... Glowing? It must be my imagination.

I reach behind me and grab my diamond sword.

"Who are you? What did you do to him?!" I ask, trying to mask the fear behind my voice.

"Get out of my way!" The figure says and I am pushed aside with a wave of his hand. I hit the side of the wall hard, but I refuse to go down, so I remain standing. Unable to walk due to what I think is a broken ankle, I watch iballisticsquid approach him.

"Ah Squid, surely you remember me. I remember you. Sky too. Does the name Brian ring a bell?"

"Step away from Bashur." Says Squid. If he is scared, he's doing an extremely good job at hiding it.

"I don't think I will. In fact, I don't see why I shouldn't kill him right here, right now."

Just as Squid is about to reply, Sky speaks up.

"Don't. I will do whatever you want. Just don't hurt him."

"Well this is a turn of events. I suppose I do have a use for you now I come to think of it." He replies. "Ok here's the deal. This thing," he pauses to kick Bashur, making him groan once again. "Will remain alive, as long as you do exactly what I say."

"Anything, just name it and I will do it, just don't kill him." Sky pleads.

"Seems like we have ourselves a deal. Unfortunately though, I will keep -what's his name- oh yes that's right Bashur with me for a while to ensure you do what I ask."

And with that he disappears. With Bashur with him.

Myself, Sky, Stampy and even Squid rush over to where the man was standing. The only sign he was ever here was a piece of paper. It read:

Iballisticsquid and Skydoesminecraft must both meet me at the spot at midnight exactly 3 days from now. They will know what I am talking about. They must come alone. Tell no one of this meeting. Failure of any if these will result in your friend being killed in the most inhumane way I can think of, and I will make sure you are there to watch.

Your soon to be ruler, Herobrine
