TIME SKIP!!!!! (6 years later)

I slouch against the grey stone wall as the door to my cell swings open. I glance up and see a guard standing in the doorway. It's the same man that comes once everyday to give me food. He places a styrofoam bowl on the ground. I don't bother going over to check what's inside it. I get the same food everyday; two slices of bread, an apple and a small bottle of water. Nothing fancy. Right now, I'd give anything for the taste of sugar. My mouth waters at the though. The last time I tasted sugar was on my birthday.

Every time it's my birthday or Christmas, I always get one lolly with my daily food. When I come to think about it, if it wasn't for those little "presents", I would've lost all since of time and forgotten my age. And I don't want that to happen.

I sigh and trudge over to the bowl. I reach down to pick up an apple when I notice a little strip of paper beside it. What's this? I unfold the note and attempt to read it. I have to squint in the dim light, but I can just make out the writing.

Lee. If you want to get out of here. Make sure you are awake at 1:00 am tonight.

What?! Who sent this? Is it true? Am I able to get out of this place?! My mind is filled with hope at the thought of escape. I've been locked up here for too long. I need to get out.

1:00 am

I hear the door to my cell swing open. A woman that I don't recognise stands in the doorway. She has a plain green t-shirt, brown pants and black boots. Her orange hair is pulled into a ponytail and hung over her shoulder.

"Who are you?! Did you-"

"Yes. My name is Alex. Follow me." (BOOM HELLO 1.8 GIRL!)

I follow down the dungeon hallway, still a bit uncertain of whether she is able to be trusted. This leads me to another thought. How does she know I was locked up in that place? I am about to ask her this when we stop in front of a door. I go to twist the handle when she grabs my arm and pulls me back.

"No. There are security cameras. Go in there." She says while pointing to a nearby empty cell.

"Huh? I though I was getting out of here, not getting chucked back into another one of those hell-holes!" I say angrily.

"Quiet! You'll wake the guards! Now listen to me. Underneath the bed is a ladder leading to a tunnel. Go through the tunnel until you see light. You will emerge just outside the kingdom gates, so be careful." She replies. I nod and approach the bed of the cell. Sure enough, there is a dark hole with a decaying wooden ladder leading into the darkness.

"Uh... Is this thing safe?" I ask.

"Well, hopefully..." She replies. "Besides, anything is better than sitting in that cell right?"

"Yeah. I guess so." I say before going down into the hole.

3 & 1/2 hours later

Finally! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! I start to walk faster and the light gets brighter until, for the first time in six years, I see daylight. And even more wonderful, the sunrise. Words can't describe how breathtaking it was. I stand there for several moments, just feeling free. Not worrying about anything at all. But then of course, I get interrupted by a voice. And not just any voice. It's one I know very well. Almost too well.

"You think escaping would be this easy?! Ha! In your dreams. Now come back with me right now and you won't get hurt." Steve says. I turn to run, but an invisible hand grabs me and picks me up by the neck.

"Someone's been a very naughty boy haven't they?" He says. The "hand" grips tighter and I struggle for breath.

"Let him go!" A female voice shouts. Wait, is that Alex?

"What did you say?" Asks Steve.

"I said let him go. Now!"

"Oh I don't think I want to. Anyway, even if you went and told someone that I harmed a boy, they wouldn't believe you. I am Steve, one of the gods. Who do you think they'd believe?'

"You seem to keep forgetting that I am a god too. I am your sister Steve. Stop acting like you are superior."

W-What?! Alex is Steve's... Sister?! How is that even possible?! There are only two gods. Notch and Steve. All the Herobrine rumours are nonsense. Steve has no evil, psychopathic brother. But then again, I didn't know he had a sister.

"Actually, I am superior. The only person more powerful than me is Notch. Your power is equivalent to this boy's over here."

"Wait I have powers?" I ask. Does that mean... I'm one of the gods? It is Alex that answers my question.

"Technically you do. But you need one of us to activate them. I would, but I'm not yet strong enough."

"So... I-I'm a God?"

"Yes. Just not an official one, if that makes sense." She replies. I nod. It kinda does make sense, seeing as I'm Steve's son.

"You two quick talking!" Steve shouts. "Lee, if I let you go, you can't run ok?" I don't reply. That's not a promise I can keep."

"Just let him go! No one will suspect anything! Even he tells someone, who's gonna believe he's your son?" Alex pleads. To my complete surprise, Steve sighs and I drop to the floor.

"Go." He says between his gritted teeth. "Before I change my mind."
