Mallory sat in the church with the rest of the girls. She turned to the side as she heard the door shut "Did Cassandra text you, too?" Mallory made a face as she noticed what she was wearing "Was there a dress code we didn't know about?" Becca said "I spent 700 bucks on this, and it's not like I'm going to be wearing it to prom." The girl said sitting next Mallory, whom was sitting next to Helena. She scooted closer to Helena. She turned to the side as she saw noticed someone stop next to them.

It was Kelly. Helena saw what she was handing her "Oh... you're life saver. Someone must be hoarding these. There was none left at the drug store." Helena said "I try to ration. I only have three boxes left." Kelly said. Helena nodded her head. "Thank you." The doors shut causing Mallory to turn her head

They were all now sitting on the floor "Boys that we thought we knew destroyed those store's last night. And if we don't do something, male testosterone is going to be the end of us." Cassandra said "Is that why it's just girls here?" Helena asked.  Cassandra nodded "Right now it's just pillage. But how long until someone's raped walking home one night and no one gives a shit because that's just how it is?" Cassandra said.

Gwen spoke up catching everyone's attention "Okay, I'm sorry no one wanted to date you in High school ,Cassandra, but this war on men feels a little extra." "Shut the fuck up, Gwen." Kelly said. Mallory snorted, earning a slap on the shoulder from Helena "What?"

"Everything that kept us safe is gone. There isn't anyone to say no. And when you stop hearing no, you began to think you can do anything, women aren't safe in a world that's run by brute force and stupidity. If we want peace, we need order. And to get order, we need to exert our power." All the girls nodded

Mallory, Grizz, Kelly, and Gwen stood in the middle of a party room "I taught him how to swim. He was the son of my mom's medical partner-" she shook her head and took a step forward "Uh, the bar is fully stocked, and there's a cake in the fridge. It's seen better days, but could make a nice center piece." She finished "Ah, yes. The traditional blue and silver prom cake." Kelly said "So out of this world?" Mallory asked "How did they know." Grizz said causing Mallory to laugh

Mallory laid on the ground in between Clark and Grizz "We been thinking. What if we, like... didn't... take stuff? Like, food or whatever. Wouldn't be the worst thing in the world right? Sharing? It could be, like... socialism-" Jason sat up from the floor "There's no 'I' in team, right?" He finished "No but here is a 'U' in stupid." Mallory said. She held out her hand and Grizz slapped it with his own. Clark gave Jason a look "What?" He questioned "Erika give you that talk?" He asked. Jason stayed quiet and laid back down "No." he said
