~Laurence Age 19~
When heard Aphmau being sick in the bathroom I jumped up from my seat and ran over to the bathroom. I banged on the door."Aphmau, what's wrong? Open up!"
I heard the toilet flush and rustling of a bag before she unlocked the door. I quickly opened the door. She was on the ground miserable. I knelt down and picked her up to the counter. She was holding her head in agony. I lifted her chin to look up at me and there was blood lining her lips that was tinted purple. I grabbed a towel and coated it with water in order to blot it off. She was looking at my eyes with a hint of fear. I cupped her cheeks with the palm of hand.
"Are you okay?" I asked again with less force than before. She shook her head no. I pulled her head to my shoulder for a hug and rubbed her back. I whispered that it was going to be alright, and that we were going to figure out what happened.
She leaned up off my shoulder to look outside the door where my dad looked mortified. I gave him a questioning look, but he was too busy looking at the blood spilling out from the backpack.
"You... you're a... Shadow Knight!" He was terrified. He ran off and came back with his sword.
"Woah! Woah! Woah! Dad, stop right now! Put down the sword! She's harmless!" I pretty much yelled in terror. I blocked her with my body. He was about to argue when he then heard the front door open and someone rushed over here.
"What's happening- oh!" Zane of all people showed up. I gave him a feared look which he took as a sign to grab my dad and take him somewhere else right now.
"Zane don't stop me! I'm not leaving my son with this bitch of a monster!" Zane yanked him and forced him out of the house.
Aphmau look at me horrified. I closed the bathroom door and locked it. She started crying.
"Hey, there's no need to cry hun." I wiped her tears. She got off the counter and curled up on the floor. I sat down and she readjusted so she sat with her legs around my waist on the floor. Her arms were wrapped around my waist, and her face hidden in my neck. I held her and played with her hair until she was comfortable to look and talk with me.
"I-I'm a m-monster Laurence."
"No Aphmau, you are and never will be a monster." I leaned my forehead against hers. "If you were a monster you wouldn't experience sadness, regret, or even happiness. But you experience all of these things."
"But, your dad said,"
"What my dad said was awful, and I'm going to have a long talk with him about it. I've never, ever considered you as a monster. You are my love, not a monster."
She sobbed and sobbed.
"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm so-"
"Stop, you have nothing to be sorry about. Nothing. Please Aphmau listen to me. Please believe me when I say that you are not a monster. You are a person, with feelings. I love you, so please stop going down on yourself."
"I love you too." She whispered out. I laid a small kiss on her lips. She was calming down now. She put her head pack on my neck, and I heard her breath slow down. She's falling asleep. Good.
"I love you so much Aph."
