Chapter 12

Cody's POV

Chloe, Max and I entered the pool building. I sluggishly walked, dragging my feet for added effect that I was just plain exhausted, but I wanted to have some fun none the less. Could be good to rid of the stress that has built up during this bizarre week. "We're in the otters lair!" Max exclaimed, her loud booming voice echoing the narrow walls of the dark dimly lit hallway, thanks to Max's phone flashlight. "Big fucking deal. I want that heated water!" Chloe said, running towards the locker room doors. She stood there for a few seconds, hands behind her back and holding a almost guilty look. Max and I walked closer to her, close enough to hear Chloe's almost whispered next sentence. "Boys or girls?" She asked. "Girls, of course!" Max replied, looking at me and seeing me sulking in the corner. The girls didn't say anything and made their way over to the girls locker room. "Uh, do you mind opening the boys locker room? I've got to get something from my locker anyway?" I asked Chloe, who strolled over and used the key she had to open the door. "There you go handsome." She said, smirking as she walked off. "Uh... thanks." I muttered, before making my way into the boys lockers. 

I pulled out my phone so I could use my phone flashlight. I aimlessly wandered the small space available before reaching the back right corner where my locker was situated. I put in my code, which by the way is way too easy to guess, 1001, and then grabbed my swimming trunks, which were a vibrant green with white palm trees as decoration. I then changed into the swimming trunks, putting all of my clothes away into my locker for later. I grabbed my towel and then walked towards the door between the lockers and the pool and opened it. The pool lights were on, shining a vibrant white into the empty quiet space. To my left was Chloe, undressing into nothing but her underwear. I blushed at the sight, dropping my towel in the process, and before she jumped in she turned around to face me, sending me a mischievous smirk. "Like what you see, Travanos?" She asked, but seeing as I was frozen she got no answer in return. "Relax, I'm just fucking with you." She said, laughing, while splashing around aimlessly in the open space of the pool. Max walked out of the room in her undies and hopped into the pool as well. "What's up Travanos? Can't swim? Don't worry Chloe will save you." Max said, smirking. Chloe punched her arm, getting a small 'oww' from Max at the gesture. "Uh no. Coming!" I shouted, maybe a little to loud. I front flipped into the water, forcefully, and with great power that made a massively big splash, almost loosing some of the water that escaped the pool. "Damn!" Chloe clapped, and continued to lounge on her back. 

We played and splashed each other for a while until we all got exhausted and all laid on our backs in the water. "I wish Rachel was here. She would totally love being in here at night. Wish you guys had met each other..." Chloe said out of the blue. I again got that jealous feeling at the mention of Rachel's name but tried to swallow that feeling so as to not make anything obvious. "We will. With all this stuff going on, I'm starting to think everything is related..." Max replied, trying to reassure Chloe, yet I don't know if I have as much hope as Max does that Rachel may still be out there. "And I want to find out for Kate's sake. She almost died today...If it wasn't for Cody, and my power combined I don't think I would've been able to save her." Max said, solemnly. "Your power is changing everything, Max. Especially you. I can already tell. You're not so chickenshit anymore." "Yeah Max. Hell your power seems to be giving some sort of power too, and as cool as that is I don't think I'd be as brave as you to be able to use it for the good of saving people." "Hm.. But I'm very curious to know if you actually have a power and what it will be or if this is just as far as it goes, y'know giving Max more strength for rewinding." Chloe butted in. "I guess time will tell.... Uhh Sorry bad pun." I said. 

We all swam to the pool border, putting our arms on it to help us stay afloat. "You didn't stumble when you saved me, Max. You remember that." Chloe got serious again. "Thank God. But... what if I had? What if? Kate didn't jump but you would be... dead..." "Max, stop. You was given this power for a reason, don't dwell on what could be. You saved Chloe, Kate and WILL save more of us in the future. You are our saviour and you are the only one who can!" I said. "Thanks Cody. You always know what to say in a shitty situation to make it better." Max replied, big smile evident on her face. We stayed quiet for a few moments, enjoying the serendipity of the quiet that surrounded us. "Now I'm getting cold in here." Max said out of the blue. "This water's making me even more tired. I didn't think that was possible." I mumbled. I grabbed onto the edge of the pool and climbed up, grabbing the towel I dropped and aggressively rubbing at the shaggy bangs that I call hair in an attempt to dry it off. I walked towards the boys locker room and towards my locker, getting my clothes out. I dried off the rest of my body before putting my clothes back on suggesting that I would wear my spare set in my bag tomorrow. I locked up my locker and made my way back to where Chloe and Max was, now standing dressed and dry apart from their hair, at the side of the pool.

"Gross, I feel like we just went swimming in Chlorine Bay." Max commented. "Your hair looks good soaked in chemicals." Chloe replied. "Thanks, you would know." Came from Max. All of a sudden the doors at the other side of the pool opened and a flashlight shined through, security. "Shit! Hide!" Chloe screeched in a whisper running towards the dark locker room. We followed, trying the fire exit door, before seeing another flashlight coming towards us through the window. We all quickly backpedalled into the locker room again and hid in separate places. Chloe hid behind the door, between some lockers. Max headed to the bathroom locking herself in a stall and I jumped into one of the baskets in the room and covered myself with the sheets, towels and pool items that where in there. I made sure I was fully covered before lying still. I waited a few minutes until the guards calls began getting distant. I dragged myself out of the blanket mess and came face to face with Chloe and Max. Chloe envelopes Max and I in a hug "We are so invisible! Let's bail!" She says, running out the doors and into the main school campus. 

We all try to run to the dorms but another guard is blocking the way and is heading towards us. We all quickly turn and think of another plan. We climb down a wall and head into the parking lot where Chloe's truck is parked. "This is bullshit. You can't go back to your dorms now, you're both Blackwell fugitives! Crash at my place tonight." Chloe proposed, getting silent nods from Max and I, although Max a bit more hesitant. "You want us to crash where the Blackwell security officer lives so we'll be safe? Okay!" The comment goes un-noticed as we made our way into Chloe's truck. She started it up, as we all fastened our seat belts and she pulled out of the parking space, not fully leaving the parking lot until "Hahaha! Later, fuckers!" Was shouted from her window. And with that we headed to her house.

When we arrived it was around 12:30 AM, Chloe pulled her truck into the driveway, shutting it off and heading to her front door where she unlocked it with her keys, entering her house with Max and I following, before shutting the door behind us. We all headed up stairs where Chloe told me to get changed into clothes for the night in the bathroom, she said we could all have showers in turns in the morning as we are all too exhausted for that right now. I changed into my Pj's in the bathroom before making my way to Chloe's room, knocking before getting a 'come in' from Chloe on the other side. I made my way in and saw Max and Chloe laying down on Chloe's bed, in their Pyjamas already. I closed the door behind me and sat at the other edge of the bed. "This bed's plenty big enough for the three of us." Chloe had said, into the open quiet of her room. She moved over into the middle space, Max on her left, leaving me the space to Chloe's right. I hesitantly laid down, facing away from the girls and towards Chloe's old wooden table filed with random objects ranging from a globe, books, magazines, and her phone. "Can you turn the lamp off please Cody?" Chloe asked. "sure." I mumbled, reaching down and switching the lamp off allowing the three of us to succumb to our slumber in the dark atmosphere around us.

It's finally here! A new Chapter that I have been promising would be here ages ago!!! I'm sorry it's so late and took forever to update but college and life got in the way of this story. I was able to update my other stories as they don't take as long to write. I have to look up the script for this one so I can use certain quotes from the game and make sure I am following the plot properly, so it takes longer overall to write up. I also want it to be wrote in a way that's not rushed and is as descriptive as possible, but in a way that makes sense as I tend to get carried away and then write a lot of shit that makes no sense so yeah that also takes up some time. I'm also sorry this chapter is quite short in comparison to others but This is basically the part 2 of the last chapter, considering this is where I wanted to get to in the other chapter but I didn't have the time to finish it so I published that as it was and said I would upload the rest in the next chapter (this chapter) so that's why it's so short. I want to continue this book as quick as possible but I do not know when I will next update it so please respect that I am busy and cannot always be actively writing. This chapter alone took about 2 hours to write up with added planning. 

Also I am actively sharing ideas with another fellow author (@SAIYAN1990) on here who gives me some amazing ideas. So thank you for the ideas and I don't know If I used any in this chapter but if I did, thanks!
