It's the day of the big game against greendales football team. I have to win I have to get that scholarship, I got out of bed and saw betty. What's she doin at 6 in the morning, then again she is Betty cooper. I decided to go on a run to clear my head before the practice I'll be having at school. As I'm jogging a limo pulls to the curb and I already know who it is Hiram lodge!
The window slides down to reveal his face.
"Archie your starting your day early?
"Look mr lodge I'm sorry but I don't have time for your threats today my mind is only on one thing today and thats....
Betty's door opens, she's tying her hair up in her famous ponytail and putting all her books in her bag she seems to be in a rush

He slides down his window and the limo drives off. I decide to run again but instead home.

AT SCHOOL
I put my books in my locker and as I'm closing it Ronnie comes out of nowhere and kisses me. After what nearly happened with Betty the other day I can't stop thinking about her but I'm doing it for her safety from Hiram so I kiss Her back

She walks off to her next class. Coach starts to make a announcement through the intercom: "students but mostly my team, I need yous to win this game we need to show everyone that bulldogs have got what it takes everyone starts applauding👏🏾 and last but not least I need the full team on the field now for our practice you won't have any class today just practice!
ON FIELD
We have been practicing for hours now the coach blows whistle and says time for break.
I sit on the bench. It's gonna be a long day
I see Betty walking on the running track and I decide to run up to her.

She has earphones on she can't hear me , I managed to grab her arm just in time and our faces were so close together like the other day.
"Arch
She puts her hand on my forehead where I have the bandage
"Don't worry it's healing up..thanks to you
"I barely did anything
"Not from the looks of it you could have made a pretty good nurse
We both laugh. It felt good I've never laughed that much with ronnie.
"So will I see you at the game?
"Well I'm a cheerleader, and Cheryl is making all of us go no matter what we have going on....
"Why is there something going on with you?
"Arch you should go back to your practice
She starts walking off
"Andrews! Yells coach "get back into the field now your break is over!
"Is eh miss ponytail gonna be a distraction for you and this game?
"No coach we were just
"I don't care what you were doing Andrews I just need you hundred percent in this game that starts soon

"Good hit the showers everyone then back here in an hour and the game starts in 2!
The Showers

"Archie what were you and coach talking about?
"Just about how I can't have any distractions for the game

Few Hours Later (The Game)
Crowd was cheering, everyone was excited but me mostly nervous, were on the field huddled in a circle while coach makes his speech. We all spread out and ready to start this game.
"Coach -says reggie
"I can't play
"Why not mantle?
"I think it's my ankle it can't move well
"Fine your benched until we really need you
The game had begun im running and I managed to score a goal! The crowd went wild I was off to a great start, scholarship here I come.
On a break now, I see Betty by the water tank and go up to her
"Hey you came cheerleader
"Not funny arch
"We both laugh
Reggie comes
"Hey cooper
"Hey reggie
"Look I know I don't know you very well but would you like to go out to pops with me sometime
"Sure why not
I felt a sting of jealous hit me. As I go back to the field I spot hiram, great! The game starts with a ball being thrown in my direction I don't manage to catch it. My head was not in the right place all I kept thinking was reggie asking out Betty. Few minutes later the ball is coming my direction again and I miss what is wrong with me
"Come on archikens
I hear Veronica but that's not who I want to hear
The coach blows the whistle. Time for a break
"Andrews what is up with you
"I'm sorry coach I .....
I catch a glimpse of betty and reggie leaving the game, I face the crowd everyone wanted us to win, then I face my team they were counting on me so that's when I decided to take off my helmet and leave the fiels
"Sorry guys
I drop the helmet and that's when I start trying to catch up with Betty.
"Andrews get back here
I felt a hand nudge me it was hiram
"Archie your throwing away your scholarship your dream, you need this for your dad
"No mr lodge you need this to keep me on a leash
I walk away from him and continue running up to reggie and Betty. I run up the stairs of the benches until I finally reached them. I could hear everyone calling my name but I ignore them

"Yea archie the game is down there the teams waiting for you

"Look betty I know this is gonna sound strange but, I'm gonna finish my sentence to you that I never got to during the end of sophomore year when you found out about me and Veronica

It starts lashing raining out of nowhere and everyone starts running, but then the unexpected was about to happen a man with a knife about to stab Betty but I jumped in front of him and he stabbed me instead then ran off.
