Can't believe this is happening its like mr lodge somehow knows what I'm thinking and what I'm about to do. I'll never have a moment with Betty, I already know how badly I hurt her I just need to find a way to make it up to her.
I run down the stairs the next day to try to catch up with Betty cooper before she left her house.
" son what are you doing up so early?
" I have school dad
"Yeah I know but you wake up at 8 not 6am do you have an early practice or something I heard basketball is what you do now how come?
"Just trying something new
"What about football music
"Multitasking dad
"Ok son but You still don't get up this early I'm guessing it's about a certain blonde that lives across the street that gets up at this exact same time??
"I'm just trying to spend time with her or at least try
"You two still haven't sorted this fight out
"No I keep trying to reach her but she pushes me away I don't know what else to do dad, and if waking up at 6am every morning to try and talk to her is what it takes then I'll do that

I starts to lose focus when i see Betty open her front door to leave I am determined to not lose this chance

I grabbed toast took a bite out of it and quickly exited the house.

As im getting closer Betty slips in her headphones and puts her volume to full blast.
Just as Archie was aiming for her shoulder Veronica Lodge pulled up.
"Archikens come come I'm not gonna let you walk when it looks like it's about to rain

"What about Betty
"I think Betty would be pretty uncomfortable if were making out in the car

My phone rings it's Hiram
"Hello mr lodge?
"Archie get in the car

"Now or do you not remember the deal we made about mrs cooper safety?
"Yes sir
I end the call
"What did he want?
"Just to remind you that he gave me his approval for our realtionship for real this time
"Yay now we have to celebrate
I look up ahead and see that Betty is long gone i climb in and Veronica grabs my neck and starts kissing me
"Ok Ronnie we're here we can stop now

Veronica gives him a peck on his cheek and leaves the car.
Just as I was about to slip out the driver Andre gave me an envelope and said that it's from hiram Lodge.
"What is this Andre why does he want me to open it?
"He gave instructions to open it and that's all I can say for Now.
I leave the car and bump into the person I have been dying to talk to Betty.
"I'm so sorry
She gets up to leave
"Betty wait...
Im too late Jughead jones had already beat him to it.
I saw that Betty had left her keys he saw this as way to finally have a conversation with her.
History class was a drag but at least I have practices now I thought . First football then basketball then music eventually he would have to choose one but that was something he needed Betty to help him out with.
At Basketball Practice:
"Alright everyone have a great practice I've left notes on the board if you get confused this is basketball ok all the practice you need is to get the ball through the hoop got it?
All the players say yes coach in sync as a team
"Archie that's the 5th shot you've missed what's got you so zoned out man
"Reggie I'm just going through stuff
"What kinda stuff man you can't lose your cool like that, man next is football practice get your head straight! Cause bulldogs can't lose another game
Football practice
"Sorry I'm late coach
"It's ok Andrews just in time join in
I'm not even thinking about what I have to be doing but only about what i would say to Betty i keep missing

"Coach he needs to sort out his problems before we play our game soon he's not in the game zone
