Dallas

Dallas had never planned a date before but here she was doing just that. She'd had everything in place with the help of Greece and Allegro, what she'd been planing was finally ready. Dallas was never one for stereotypes and felt elated that Arturo had allowed her to take him out. She dressed formally, in gorgeous black dress that hung just above her knees and tan heels to match. At seven o'clock sharp, Arturo descended down the stairs, looking devilishly handsome in his black suit.

Dallas grinned when he reached her side and kissed her lips gently, "You look beautiful mio cuore,"
Dallas despite trying not too, blushed, "You look handsome as well."
Hand in hand the couple walked to their car, Dallas had unwillingly given the keys to Arturo who opened the passenger door for her, "I'm taking you out." She pouted childishly.
Arturo chuckled, "That doesn't mean that I can't be a gentleman."

Dallas rolled her eyes but grinned none the less, she really hit the jackpot when this man stumbled in front of her home, broken and bruised. She grabbed his hand which was on the gear and entwined their fingers together.
"I'm glad I met you." She whispered.
"Me too," he whispered back.
And Dallas meant every word.

"Turn here." She directed him, noticing the car behind them make the same turn.
Startled, Dallas whipped her head around to see the headlights from the car same car suddenly glaring furiously threw their glass.
"Arturo?" She said curiously.
"Do you know that car?"
She saw him grit his teeth, "I don't"

Suddenly he took a sharp turn and increased the speed he was driving at, "Fuck!" He screamed, "They're following us."
A few sharp turns later and Arturo couldn't get rid of them, "Listen Dallas, do as I say and go and hid on the floor of the back seat and don't move."
Dallas bit her lip, "But?!"
"Do as I say and don't get up until I tell you no matter what happens okay?"

Dallas gulped wanting to argue as she followed his instructions and lay flat on the car floor. Dallas felt the car zoom down the road and she clenched her fists closed, "Oh god" she mumbled softly as she listened to Arturo curse in Italian.
This was supposed to be their date! Their time together and now they were being followed! Dallas felt her throat tighten when what felt like the car hit the back of them.

She stifled a scream but Arturo only gritted his teeth, "Allegro and the others will be here soon but by the time they come they'd have taken me."
Dallas didn't understand, "Taken you? What?"
Arturo couldn't look back at her, "They're going to catch up mio cuore," he paused, "and when they do I need you to stay put I'll lead them away and you wait for Greece and the others okay."

Dallas wanted to cry, "I won't leave you!" She cried.
"I'm not giving you a choice Dallas! I won't I will not fucking let them take you!"
"Do you understand!"
Dallas let out a muffled cry, "Arturo please," she pleaded, "They haven't caught us yet just keep driving!"
"Ill try and get us as close to the compound as possible but—"

Suddenly there was another slam into the back of the car which caused Arturo to grit his teeth and curse.
"Dallas promise me you'll stay put!"
Dallas muffled an answer, "I want to hear you Dallas!"
"I promise." She sniffled as their car was hit again.
Arturo nodded his head at her verbal answer,
"I love you, you know."

Dallas' breathing hitched, he'd said he loved her and what a fabulous time to tell her as well, "I love you more." She squeezed out as the final blow to the car caused it jerk and begin spinning.
"Hang on!" Arturo yelled.
Dallas closed her eyes as she lay flat stomach to the backseat floor.
"When I get back we'll have that date, yeah."

She could almost see Arturo smiling from his tone, "We better." She whispered as shouting from outside sounded.
Dallas almost burst into a fit of sobs at the voices, "Get out the car Martini!"

"You're surrounded!"
Dallas bit her lip to keep from making a sound as Arturo opened the door and stepped out, "You fuckers still mad I broke into your warehouse?"
Dallas heard the sound of a slap and could decipher that Arturo had received it.
"Damn right we are!"
"You mafia boys had no right!"

She heard Arturo chuckle, "I am the youngest Martini, you sure you wanna trifle with my brother's?"
There was a pause, "I'm sure you've heard the rumors."
There was silence before he spoke, "Cuff and gag him and get rid of the car."
Dallas' breathing hitched, "How boss?"

"Burn it."

Dallas kept quiet through that revelation, she heard the sound of gasoline being poured on the outside of the car before a flick of a lighter and then boom. Smoke and flames flooded her system as Dallas lay stomach flat on the bottom of the car. She coughed and gagged immediately sitting up to see the men and Arturo were gone. Dallas kicked the door which seemed to be jammed as smoke filled the air enabling her from seeing anything as she frantically banged on the metal.

"No! No! No!" She screamed in frustration as she coughed, covering her mouth with her shirt.
Giving the door one last kick she broke free and fell onto the concrete road wheezing.
She dragged herself away from the car knowing it was close to exploding. Which way did they go? She thought as she lay catching her breath, the sudden boom of the explosion caused Dallas to brace for impact as metal parts flew up in the air.

She was alone in the middle of the street, with no where to go, near a burning car and as the metal pieces landed on the surrounding area, a second later Dallas couldn't help but feel a block of metal hit her smack in the head. She screamed before the pain was overtaken by darkness.
