The pair had finished they're dance and earned decent scores. After the results show was pre-recorded Joe always met Dianne in her dressing room before leaving to discuss the dance. This time it was different

"Dianne?" Joe knocked on her door before slowly entering to find her sat hunched up on the bed. She looked like she'd been crying but Joe never asked, not wanting to invade her personal space. He walked over and sat down next to her before trying to wrap his arm around his shoulder.

"Stop."
"What Di?"
"You heard me. Stop"

Joe was taken aback by her sudden anger. He shuffled away and stood up from the sofa. "What you taking out on me now"he sighed, walking towards the door.

"I could lose my job over this."
"Oh and that's all you care about. You couldn't give a damn about us could you?"

Joe walked out and slammed the door behind him,Dianne bursting into floods of tears as she quickly packed all her belongings into her suitcase and went after him.

She spotted Joe speaking to Stacey down by the Star Bar,wiping her eyes clean before walking on down to him.

"I'll leave you two to it"Stacey smiles, patting Joe on the back before joining Lauren and Kevin in the Bar area.

"What you told her then" Dianne blurted out, positioning her suitcase to the side as her eyes wandered around the floor.

"Nothing."

Dianne met his gaze before leaning in to kiss him, her  arms wrapped around his waste. "This is what I care about"she smiled up at him before taking her suitcase and rushing off down the hallway.

"Dianne! Wait!"
"Yes?"
"Meet me tomorrow. 6pm My place."

What did he mean? Didn't he want this? Didn't he want her?

These thoughts were bouncing around Diannes mind as she stood in the cold waiting for her Uber. All she could think about was her lashing out on Joe,something she regretted massively. A call came through from her phone, expecting it to be a producer saying she was sacked.

'Anthony.'

She sighed and answered the call, just hearing the girls laughter again.

"See Dianne, I've found better. Who would want to date an emotional brat who has her boobs out 24/7 on TV. NO ONE. Get that in your thick skull. You'll not be good enough for anyone."

She ended the phonecall there and then. She simply didn't know if to collapse, cry, find Joe or just hide every single emotion. She believed every word he said. In ever dance costume all anyone would comment on is her figure and how good it looked, nobody saw past that and saw her bubbly personality. Nobody except Joe.

She had to ring him. Or find him. She needed to do things properly.

The phone rang and rang,Dianne losing hope after each ring.

"Hey Di?"
"Joe,I wanna do this properly."
"What?"

"Us."

She ended the phonecall after that word, climbing into the Uber what had just arrived and noticing Joe stood outside the main doors. She smiled to him and waved, not taking her gaze off him as the car rolled out of Elstree Studios.

All Joe could think about was 'Us'. The word Dianne used to describe them. She didn't use 'Skin' a word associated with sexual contact and romantic touches but 'Us', one Joe associated with long-term love. Them. Together. Properly.
