" Don't give me that smooth talk. It's over."

The only words what rang through her head. The feminine laugh in the background of her Ex's phone-call haunting her whilst she tossed and turned in her bed. The only person she wanted was Joe but she believed he didn't want her.

Nobody wanted her. Or so she thought.

Dianne received a notification. Joe. She clicked onto her phone and let out a large breath.

" Want to come in the same Uber as me tomorrow? It makes sense! :)) "

She couldn't face replying to him. She couldn't face messaging the guy who would never love her back. She wanted to stay professional as she could, there to just dance and dance only but she couldn't help feeling the way she did for Joe.

A single tear fell from her eye.

"Fuck. Get yourself together Di!"She told herself over and over again, tears falling eachtime she thought about Anthony,Joe and the mysterious voice in the background of the phone-call. She didnt want any of this. She wanted to stop letting Anthony get into her mind, stop her feelings for Joe and stop her constant worry about the feminine laugh in the back of the phone call.

She just wanted to dance.

// [ Change to Joes POV ]

"Dianne won't answer my texts." he exclaimed to Byron sat on the opposite side of the kitchen counter. "She's read them but-" he trailed off, sounding disheartened as he finished cleaning up the pots and stacking them away.

"Is she okay bro?" Byron asked?

"I really don't know. She sounded upset earlier,i didn't ask though."Joe sighed,worried about her.
"She's been the only thing on my mind Byron. The only thing."He looked up towards him from the pile of cleaned pots. He wasn't good with emotions, he never had been and probably never would be.

"All i know is she's been on rough terms with Anthony. They had an argumentative phone call last week and Dianne was in tears over it. I hate seeing her unhappy" He says to Byron, checking his phone again.

"You got feelings for her?"

"I do but she doesn't. She has to be professional and she's there to teach me to dance, not to bed me in the process. She's still with him anyways."

Him. Those words stung Joe.

All he wanted was her. He had never been in love, been pretty close but never 'in' love. But she was different to the other girls. She wasn't some fame hungry women. She knew what she wanted in life and Joe admired her work ethic, the way she'd be up at 5:30am every morning and hit the pillow at 11pm every night without fail. She made the most of each and everyday so she could make herself and her family proud.

"Joe?"

"Yeah?"

"Tell her how you feel. Let it all out bro."

"But what if she doesn't love me back, what if she hates me? What if she thinks i'm an immature idiot who just wants to have sex with her off the get go?" Joe confided in Byron, working himself up.

"If you don't tell her, you'll never ever know how she
feels."

If you don't tell her, you'll never know how she feels.

Another short chapter but i'm just trying to set the mood for the story. Just a disclaimer that Anthony isn't a cheat in real life, i added this to make the fanfic more exciting and we will never know the real reason Dianthony split so adding a cheating rumour creates drama in the storyline, more to play around with!

Again constructive criticism is welcome as well as positive feedback :))
