'Girlfriend.. Huh?' Shinichi's thought while in the classroom. His mind is pretty occupied by that subject to even focus on his class.

Besides, for some reason- he already have an idea what his professor is teaching.

What really happened to him in that year? How can he have a girlfriend when he's in love with Ran?

Shinichi stopped for a while. Right, Ran. She's, the person he first loved and still loves.

How can he do such a thing to her?

Besides, you don't have to be a detective to notice that Ran shares the same feelings for him.

When he realized that he had a relationship that is not Ran, guilt started eating him alive. Every time he remembers the 'girlfriend', Ran came immediately on his mind after.

All he can think about is Ran and no one else.

His possible relationship with someone is being buried when Ran is around.

While walking in the hallway, Shinichi saw Heiji talking to someone on the phone. He saw him having this very serious face.

Heiji leans on a pillar without noticing that Shinichi is just a few meters away and walking towards him.

"Just keep an eye on Shiho ."

Shinichi immediately stopped on his track.

Shiho? That name sounds very familiar.

He can't be, talking about the Miyano Shiho he knows right?

When Heiji putted the phone down and starts walking away, Shinichi was about to follow him when a scenario flash on his mind. 

Back when they are in the woods and he followed him to a vila. 

¨This happened before?¨

His head didnt start to ache but he became more curious than ever. Why it seems like something big is going to happen?

That night, Shinichi dreams the same dream he dreamed about back when he was in the US. 

The one when he woke up with a familiar long strawberry blonde hair, for some reason- he knew that the white shirt she's wearing is his.

There it is again, that familiar melody that she's humming.

All of a sudden, he was thrown out of his body on that dream. Now, he's more like watching a movie scene. A typical way of dreaming.

He saw how his own body approaches the girl and hugs her lovingly, he looks so in love with her.

He kissed her from the forehead, to the bridge of her nose to her lips. He whispered something but he can understand what he said to her.

I love you

Shinichi gasp as he woke up from his dream.

He sat up, let his back lean on the headboard of his bed and stares at nothing.

"Ran.." He whispers. ".... Ran."

His memory with his childhood friend flashes back on his mind, ever since they were young to the time when he fell in love with her.

"Ran.." He whispers again. Seconds later, he felt like his cheeks are getting wet.

Tears are slowly falling down from his sad eyes.
