I walked down the hallway, pushing past all kinds of kids. They were all rushing to class. I was trying to do the same thing but failing. Everyone pushed past me like I'm a ghost.
"Excuse me." I said. This tall kid with very dated glasses and fuzzy hair bumped into me and made me drop all of my books. My papers were all over the floor and everyone was stepping on them. I scurried around the floor gathering them up. Everyone stepped over me and a girl wearing like five inch heels stepped on my finger.
"Ow!" I whimpered.
"Oops! Sorry!" She said sarcastically and her and her friends walked off laughing.
"Need any help?" My best friend Bailey asked me as she crouched down and picked up the rest of my papers. "Thank you." I said. I put all my papers except one back in my binder. "Darnet! My presentation!" I held the paper by the corner of it. There was a brown footprint on it and it looked like mud but it smelled like dog poop.
"Definitely dog mess." Bailey said holding her nose.
"There goes another grade down the drain." I sighed. "Well, on the bright side I have a little bit of time at study hall to re write it. " I said. Bailey nodded and we walked to class. We don't have hardly any classes together so its normally a long day for both of us.
When I got to class I ended up being a little late. "Ms. Strader, so glad you could join us. Take a seat in the back please." Mr. Howard said. "But I can explain, I dropped my-"
"Sit down Montana." He demanded. He only used our first names if we were getting on his nerves. I did as he said and took a seat in the back row. I hated being late because every time I was, I had to sit back here, by Ricky Blake. The most popular guy in GreenValley High. "Hey babe. How about you and me later? We could get some food and watch a movie? Sound good?" He winked at me.
"No. I'm good." I said. He asks me that every time I sit back here. I know not to fall for it because the first time I was late he asked me the same question.
*flashback*
"Hey, how about you and me skip lunch and catch a movie?" Ricky asked.
"Really? Uh yeah that sou-"
"Nah, I'm kidding. Who would go out with you?" He started laughing.
*end of flashback*
Ricky laughed. His laugh drives me insane. Its so haunting, its like one of those creepy laughs you hear in a haunted house. Anyways, yeah.
"Everyone pull out your geometry books to page one hundred and twenty eight, we are learning about the formula of the triangle. " Mr. Howard said.
I don't even know why we have to learn this stuff, its not like were gonna use it.
After class it was tome for lunch. I put my books in my locker and head to the cafeteria. Surprisingly not too may people were there yet. Bailey was sitting down in our usual spot by the nerds. We didn't sit at the same table as them but it was near there. Normally its just me and Bailey. On a rare occasion, Lucas Hempton would sit by us, also considered a nerd.
He has blackish hair that is normally spike, tan skin, brown eyes and he wears these adorable nerd glasses. I have to admit he's not that bad, but there's better looking guys.
Today was not the day he sat with us. Its normally on Wednesday. But today is Friday. I got in line to get my food and that girl that stepped on my finger was in front of me. Brianna Winston. She's tall, dumb and has practically dated the whole football team. She's head cheerleader so it makes sense.
I got my food and started carrying it back to my table. Brianna was walking in front of me at a very slow pace. "Excuse me, but some people are trying to go sit down." I said and kept walking. She stopped right in front of me, that caused my tray to flip towards me. Spaghetti got all over my clothes. I stood there with my eyes closed and my mouth was open still in shock of what happened.
"Oops." She giggled and walked off.
The next time I hear her say oops I am gonna strangle her. "Oh my gosh Montana are you okay?" Bailey ran up to me. "Yeah. Other than the fact that I have noodles and meat sauce in weird places, I'm good." I told her. "Come on, let's go to the bathroom and get you cleaned up.
****
"Thanks." I said as I finished putting on my clean clothes. Thank God I had extras in my gym bag.
"You're welcome. What are friends for right?" She smiled. I returned the smile back at her.
After school I went home and took a shower and went to bed. I didn't even eat supper. I wasnt hungry.
I am so glad I don't have school tomorrow.
