Harry's Pov

"Hey Hazza what do you want for christmas?"

"I really don't care Gems."

"But you love Christmas? Something must be up."

"Father won't let me be friends with who I want to be."

"He was like that with me but it's just the way we've been brought up Harry. I t was mean of him though to not let you out of the house and to take all your electronics."

"That's not the worst of it."

"How can it get any worse?"

"He's sending me to camp to 'man up'."

"What? Why?"

"He says it's so I can take over the company on my birthday."

"Miss Gemma and Master Harry dinner is ready." The maid scurried away and we smartened up before heading down to the dining room.

We took our seats and Robin said Grace.

"Mother Harry has made plans to spend the day with Miss Georgina tomorrow would he be allowed to leave the house?" I shot a look at Gemma across the table and she just winked at me.

"I'm not sure Gemma i'll have to phone your father and ask."

"Okay you can tell him i'll go with them as well so Harry can not sneak off."

"I'll be sure to tell him." We ate the rest of our meal in a comfortable silence. When I finished I lay my spoon in my bowl and placed my napkin on the table. "Please may I be excused?"

"And me too please."

Mother nodded at us both and glared at us as we left the room. "What are you up to Gems?"

"Well instead of calling on Miss Georgina I thought I could take you to see this Louis."

"Thank you Gems you're the best." I said as I threw my arms around her neck and pulled her into a hug. "Don't mention it."

I woke up the next morning feeling excited. As I was pulling a comb through my curls there was a knock on my bedroom door. "Harry honey can I come in?"

"Yeah." The door opened and my mother walked in closing the door behind her. She took a seat on the end of my bed I continued looking in the mirror as I comb my hair. "Harry I feel like we're drifting apart, you used to be such a mummy's boy and now I feel like you keep stuff from me." Mother looked down at her hands. I placed the comb down on the dressing table and walked over to her.

"I'm sorry mother."

"You still haven't told me about your exam results any crushes you have or any friends you have made."

"I passed."

"My smart little boy," she kissed the top of my head, "I miss you baby."

"I guess I just worry you're going to tell father on me."

"I'd never baby."

"Well Gemma isn't taking me to see Miss Georgina, oh mother she's a lovely girl but I don't see us courting."

"I understand sweetheart, there's plenty of other people out there now where is Gemma taking you then?"

"She's taking me to go see Louis.  Mother I really like spending time with Louis and his friends; Niall, Liam and Zayn. They're the only friends I've really made around here."

"I won't tell your father dear, take that suit off and put on those clothes you bought whilst shopping with Louis."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive, I also happen to know your father is out of town for a couple of days." I pulled mother into a hug. "Thank you."

"Maybe we could have your new friends around for dinner tonight; Robin is working a night-shift and Gemma is at her boyfriend's house."

"That would be great, thank you mother."

"Don't thank me honey just hurry up and get ready." She kissed me on the top of the head one last time before leaving me alone in my bedroom once again.

"So you told mother what we were doing?"

"Yeah but she doesn't mind, she thinks father is a bit hard on me."

"He is, he's being a total dick."

"Gemma!"

"Oh like you don't swear?"

"I don't actually."

"Don't believe you." I turned up the radio and Cher started playing; Gemma started to sing along. "Gypsy's, tramps and thieves we'd hear from the people of the town they'd call us gypsy's, tramps and thieves but every night all the men would come around and lay their money down..."

We pulled into the little car park outside Niall's cafe. I climbed out the Range Rover and held out my arm for Gemma. The bell tinkled above our heads as we entered the cafe. The song Black velvet was playing quietly on a jukebox in the corner:

Always wanting more, he'd leave you longing for

Black velvet and that little boy smile

Black velvet with that slow southern style

A new religion that'll bring you to your knees

Black velvet if you please...

"I've never been to a place like this." Gemma whispered in my ear.

I walked over to the counter  and rang the little bell, Niall emerged from the back. "Oh it's you."

"That's no way to talk to a friend." Gemma said.

"Who said we were friends? Louis is seriously pissed."

"We can't help what our father is like and anyway he's out of town so he can't do anything."

"Good for him so why are you here ?"

"Do you want to 'hang out'?"

"Um alright I'll call the guys."

About an hour later we were all there apart from Louis. The bell tinkled above the door. "Alright lads." Louis walked over holding hands with a brown haired girl. "Guys this is Eleanor my manager, I thought she could come along and meet you all."

Gemma pulled me to one side.

"You like him."

"What?"

"You like Louis, I saw your face drop when he walked in holding her hand."

"I-um-"

"Harry father will murder you if he finds out."

"I know but I can't help it." I looked down at my feet.

"This is a dangerous game you're playing Hazza."
