Chapter 20

Louis' Pov

"Oh my goodness can you hear me lad?" were the last words I heard before my eyes closed.

I woke up in a bright room and I hurt all over. "Where-where am i?"

"It's okay Louis, would you like me to go and fetch your mother?"

"Yeah-yes please." The woman swished out of the room. Moments later my mum bustled in looking worried. "Oh Lou you've had me so worried."

"What happened?"

"I had a phone call from Eleanor saying you'd been hit by a car and the police think it was a planned attack." 

"Can I come home?"

"No sweetheart you've got to stay here for a while so the nurses can monitor you."

"Can you ask Harry to come here?"

"I phoned the house and his father said Harry text you earlier and now he has gone off to camp." 

"Where is my stuff?"

"The police have it but we can get it back soon." I just nodded as a single tear rolled down my face. "Don't cry baby." Mum said as she sat down carefully on the bed next to me. I snuggled into her. 

A couple of hours passed. "Right Lou i'm going to go home and sort the kids out they will probably want to see you tonight, is that alright?" 

"That would be perfect." I kissed her on the cheek and waved her out of the room.

"Aww your mum is lovely." The nurse checking my blood said.

"Yeah, she's the best." 

"Right Nurse Winters I have Louis' dinner. Another nurse pushed a trolley over and placed a tray full of food on my lap. "Here let me help you sit up." Nurse Winters Plumped my pillows before helping me sit up. "You tuck in now and i'll be back later." She smiled at me before closing the doors. 

A quarter of the way through my meal there was a knock on the door and two police officers walked in. "Hi Louis do you mind if we ask you a few questions?" 

"Oh um no it's fine." 

"Right, did you see who was driving the car that hit you?"

"No sorry."

"Has anyone got any grudges against you?"

"No, well saying that i've recently got into a relationship with someone and his dad really doesn't like me."

"So much he'd physically harm you?"

"Well I don't know he's threatened me, fire my step-dad from his job and threatened his son."

"What's the name of this guy please?"

"Mister Styles."

"Thank you we will be back if we get any news."

"Thank you." The policemen left the room and Nurse Winters returned. 

"Have you finished eating dear or do you want me to reheat it?"

"I'm done."

"Okay, i'll take this and send your guests in."

"Thank you."

Moments later Phoebe, Daisy and Lottie walked into the room followed by my mum and Mark. "Good God lad what did these guys do to you?" Mark asked. 

"We've told Fizzy you are here and she sends her love dear." Mum said as she sat down on one of the plastic, blue chairs. Mark sat down next to her and Lottie next to him. The twins sat either side of me on the bed. "When can Lou come home mum?" Daisy asked as she snuggled into my side. "Soon dear but he'll be staying here a while longer."
