Chapter 11 - The battle plan

(Three hours later)

We had finally made our way out of the mountain pass an managed to get everyone to the valley. I landed on the ground with shira to start making the underground base but when I jumped off her I noticed a large cave near the valley.

“Shira do you think that cave could be a good place for the base.” She was silent for a bit before she finally she signalled for me to hop on her. I quickly jumped on her an she flew over. We started to go into the entrance until we saw light inside.

“Stay down ok”. She nodded an lowered herself. I was about to grab my staff until I noticed that there was no one there. I grabbed it anyways an started to search through the cave.

“Shira you go down that way while I go do here ok”.

“Ok dawn just be careful”.

“I will”. I started heading down the pathway an noticed a little room in there. I quickly moved in there an noticed some crates with the rouge kingdoms logo on it. I quickly searched through them an saw some old clothes and some pictures in it. What were these doing here? I was about to search through them until I felt a hand on my mouth. I was going to scream until something pierced my arm.

“Shira someone is in the cave and has caught me. Help please”. Then all of a sudden I heard a roar. I looked an saw shira in the doorway. But then all of a sudden something wrapped around my waist and I saw that it was shira’s tail. She pulled me out then I was slammed into her. I quickly held onto her then I started to feel dizzy.

But then I saw who was holding me an it was ward. I grabbed my staff an started to spin it until I felt dizzy. I fell back an heard shira roar at ward. But then I sat back up but I felt dizzy again.

“Shira what’s wrong with me”.

“I think it might have something to do with that little needle bomb sticking out of your arm”. I looked at my arm an yep there was a needle bomb sticking out of my arm. I was about to grab it when I was burning up. I quickly looked at the needle again an saw that it was a silver one. I was about to give up until I noticed the marks on the bomb. This wasn’t an ordinary needle bomb. This was a teleportation needle bomb.

“Oh god, shira help me get this out”. She bit down on the needle an pulled it out straight away.

“Ouch, that hurt”.

“Sorry dawn”. I heard feet moving an I looked to see ward running away.

“Um shira would you mind”. She didn’t even let me finish before she flew over to ward an pinned him down on the ground with her claws.

“Thanks shira”. I ran over an quickly searched through ward. I found a few guns and daggers but nothing else. I quickly sat up an extended my staff. I quickly spun it around a few times before I hit wards head with it causing him to fall unconscious.

“Take him outside, will give him to Loren and dusk and they can choose what they want to do to him”. She nodded and I jumped on her quickly before she flew out of the cave as fast as the speed of light. Waiting outside was dusk, Loren and the rest of the resistance. We landed onto the ground an placed an unconscious ward on the ground in front of dusk. I jumped off shira and walked over to dusk and my aunt.

“ward was in the cave an there was a few crates filled with old clothes and photo’s inside but other than that there is nothing else in there.” They were silent for a while. Why were they so quiet all of a sudden?

“What’s wrong? Did something happen”.

“We found this message in a little crate where you fell off”. There was a picture of Zac and a woman wearing black next to him. It said “the rouges will triumph against the resistance”. I sighed and then I looked back up at dusk and Loren.
