As I stepped down my spiral stair case I could see my mother trying to get everything ready for the fashion show today. Speed walking from one spot to the next, double checking to see if she left anything behind. "Mother calm yourself, if need be I can have someone fetch what you need." Eventhough, raised on the money from our family's maple syrup business, that my mother now has taken over, she seems to forget our higher status. We were not born poor. Kevin aproaches me with varies suitcases, "Everything has been taken care of for tonight. We need to get on the plane in about thirty minutes. Mrs. Blossom I can get someone to take all of that for you. No need to strain your back."
After the plane landed in California and we made our way to the hotel. Kevin and I share a room while my mother got her own. Normally, its just Kevin and I that walk to the runway to prepare what is ahead of us but instead of staying at the hotel mom wanted to know how it all gets put together. Ten minutes before the show starts Kevin walks up towards me, stressed but awestruck, "Ms. Blossom, you have a visitor sitting in the front row. I suggest talking to them before the show starts." How intriguing, I didn't remember inviting anyone. As I walk up to the red velvet curtains and push them slightly aside, I see her. She seems so pleased with herself drinking an iced tea, looking around until several reporters walk up to her. Then the beautiful satisfied look is long gone. I straighten my clothes, flip my hair to cascade down my back, then step outside of the velvet curtains walking towards the cameras slightly agravated. "Lovely evening we're having. I'm glad you caught everything on video wouldn't want to miss anything now would we?" Toni looks away from the reporters with a mixture between joy and shock. "Good evening Ms. Blossom. I wanted to surprise you. I caught wind of when this was going to be so I picked the seat in the front row. Hope you don't mind." Standing in black vans, faded blue jeans, a shimmery black shirt and a blue jean jacket at a fashion show is Antoinette Topaz. "I would never mind but you should have told me. I could have gotten you in for free." Completely forgetting everyone else in sight we stood there talking like long lost friends until it was interrupted. "Cheryl Blossom, how long have you known Toni Topaz? Are you two friends or are you in a business relationship?" I avert my attention to the live questionair. "I would rather not sound rude to the masses but what I do in my personal time and who I communicate with in said time is up to myself and the people I associate with to broadcast to the world. Now take your seats the show is about to begin." The upset reporters take their seats. Toni on the other hand rose her eyebrow, "I like your fire Blossom, it's refreshing." Before I walk to where I once was behind the curtain I smile, "Antoinette, I was only speaking the truth. If they can't handle it they are welcome to leave. Now I hope you enjoy the show." Leaving her with a smile, stepping behind the curtain once again. I get myself together before annoucing, "Okay, everyone places! It's a full house tonight. Make everyone proud."
It went beautifully. The kids were wonderful, the make-up crew were at their best, Kevin was everywhere, running like a chicken with their head cut off alongside me, until the end. Social media was at its all time high with assuming many concepts that aren't even considered to be close to the truth after a picture of the wonderful car designer and I leaked. "Cheryl you did a wonderful job. Every artical of clothing was beautiful." I couldn't concentrate to a word she was saying. Rocking back and forth slightly trying to control myself. All of these reporters gained up on me all at once when I least expected it. "Ms. Blossom, Ms. Blossom, Ms. Blossom!" I'm going to explode. With each voice screaming my name louder and louder. The flashes were blinding, the smell of old newspaper was flooding my nose, hands creeping closer to my mouth to record every word. I felt a hand rest itself on my shoulder dragging me away, One... Two... Three... Four... "Breath, Cher, breath, I got you away from all of them." That was not Kevin's voice like I thought it would be. All I could do was look at the hardwood floor underneath my feet and rock slightly. "Toni, it's fine. I got it from here." He rests has hands on my cheeks forcing me to look up at him. "Cheryl, I need you to come back to me and breath. Your fine, just breath. Count out loud if you have to." I slowly came to, whispering, "one... Two... Three... Four... Five... OK Kev I'm good. I don't know what happen. All of a sudden I felt so trapped with everyone around me." I caught sight of a amused Toni, both eyebrows raised, waiting for answers but she stood there patiently only asking one question. "Cheryl, do you want to be friends?" I couldn't help the smile that made its way to my lips.
After what felt like all night Kevin, Toni, my mother, and I reached the hotel. Turns out Toni was a door away from us. I wanted to get away from work and just relax. The room service brought wine to my room compliments to such a high up person being in their hotel, Toni got one aswell. I changed into comfortable Victoria secret jogging pants, and a sweatter taking off my dreadful bra to just lie in bed. It felt wonderful. I drank about half a bottle of wine when I heard a knock at the door. Slowly rising up from bed, slightly stumbling, I opened the door. "Kevin said to get my cute butt over here." Similar to what I'm wearing except in sleep shorts was Toni. She washed every bit of her makeup off, not bothering to wear shoes, walking around in bright pink socks. "Um, come in. Just to warn you I've drank quite a bit for my normal liking and I'm not planning on stopping until the bottle is empty." She nods her head smilling but sits next to Kevin on his bed. I plop down finishing yet another glass just to refill it once more. "Kevin you complimented her butt while instructing her to come to our room without telling me? I would have staightened up a while back." Kevin laughs, "Cheryl, sweetie, you can try all you want but there is no way of you straightening up." Kinda confused, "Kevin was that a refrence to my drinking or a gay joke? I'm not sure." They both laugh. Toni the next one to speak up, "Cher I think that depends on you. Are you too gay you can't think straight or are you to drunk you can't see straight?" I suppose those were vallid questions. "Well, I can see perfectly fine at the moment so I will have to go with the first one. It seems to suit the argument better." Kevin fills up my glass one more time showing me an almost empty bottle, "Cheryl you do realize you outed yourself right?" Kevin explains while drinking the last bit. I did, didn't I? "Merde! Well, its too late now. Antoinette if you haven't figured it out yet, I'm into girls. It honestly would be shocking if you didn't know with how much I stare and admirer your beauty." The room was filled with silence waiting for me to think about what I just said. Until it clicks. I admitted to checking Toni out, I just admitted I like girls to someone other then Kevin, I have had way too much wine. I can feel my eyes open up wider looking at the two stairing at me with the same smug look. "I am putting the wine down. My apologies for making it awkward. I didn't realize I was saying such things." One... Two... Three... "Cher, no worries I would be lying if I said I haven't checked you out before and I'm sure you know I'm bi by now. I don't hide it and nor does the cameras. As for the drinking it looks like Kevin drank the rest of it." I put my glass down sliding back against the pile of pillows giving my attention to the t.v. instead of them. Realizing how much not even one full bottle of Montoya Cabernet red wine has done. When Toni sits on my bed. Her beautiful wavy hair pulled up into a messy bun, her short tanned legs hanging off the bed, her lips soft in texture, skin effortly clear. I'm think my next idea for clothing is going to be for working women. I would love to see her cute ass in some tight ovarall shorts when she's working on my car. "Cheryl your staring at me like I'm a Thanksgiving meal." Making my eyes reach her eye contact, "I got an idea for my next clothing line and I was wondering if you would like to be one of my modals? I try to relate the clothing I design to the real world. Normal people don't wear bacon dresses or angel wings made of copper. I don't understand why someone would buy that unless you're Lady Gaga or a Kardashian. Not that I'm against them it's just not reasonable." I know I went off in my own world thinking of the different outfits I've seen walk the runway. When Kevin tapped my shoulder, "Cheryl you're doing it again. Although I agree lets get back to the beginning question. What are you thinking about in terms of the next clothing line." Walking over to my suitecase I move some of the clothes to get my sketchbook. Flipping to the lastest sketch I show Kevin and Toni. "I was thinking the fabric should be durable like the kids clothes, oil resistent, but also easy to clean. Antoinette I would love for us to work together on this. I think it will benefit us both. I would love your opinion as well considering what you do. Plus I think you would have a cute little butt in some short overalls." As I write down a few notes I could feels Kevin's eyes on me. "Cheryl you do realize that it's one in the damn morning and you desided to have an epiphany when everyone is half asleep?" I look up, "Kevin time waits for no one but we can descuss this tomorrow when we are all well rested. Antoinette, what do you think breakfast at ten?" A look that I could not describe crossed her fast happy, maybe passion? I'm not sure. "Of course, Ms. Blossom, it would be a pleasure doing business with you."
