Livin' on a prayer (Cas X Reader)

Imagine you and Cas both like eachother but he successfully hides it until you nearly die.

"Alright kid, packed up?"

You rolled your eyes

"Dean I'm only a few years younger than you, I'm not a kid"

"Yeah whatever.  You ready?"

"Yup!"

You grab your dark forest green duffel bag and run to the impala, but before you can make it Cas appears out of nowhere causing you to bump into him and you both fall to the ground. 

"Woah what are you doing here?"

"Sam and Dean said that there was a hunt"

"So you're joining us?"

"That's why I'm here"

"Damnit" you thought to yourself.  You have had a huge crush on the dark haired blue eyed angel for a long time.  You didn't know what it was about him that made you feel this way... maybe it was his dark hair or the way he cocked his head when confused or how badass he is in fights or how sweet he can be or... you notice you've been sitting on the floor staring at him. 

"Are you ok?"

"What?  Ya, I'm fine"

"Here let me check just to make sure"

Cas places his hand on your head. 

"Everything seems fine... except..."

Dean barges in, "Cas! Finally! Now we can get this show on the road!"

You and cas follow Dean out the bunker doors to the impala.  Sam is already sitting in the front with his face stuck deep into his computer. 

Of course because it was the four of you Dean would drive, Sam would be in shotgun, and you would be stuck in the back with Cas.  Honestly you didn't mind having a little company, but it was always so awkward.  You decided to just plug in your headphones and listen to your own music until you get there.

Eventually after what seemed like years, you arrived at the motel in Duluth, Minnesota. 

"Alright here's the plan, we drop off our stuff, do some questioning, gank some monsters, and then come back here for some beer, pie, and sleep"

(I'm skipping getting the motel and interrogating and stuff cause it's boring 😂)

All four of you hop into the car and begin to drive to the abandoned factory in which the demon is.  Sam turns around to talk to you and Cas

"Alright so, Dean has left upper halves of the factory, I have left down, Cas you have right up, and (Y/N) you have right down"

"Are you sure (Y/N) can handle her own section? She could accompany me at the top right"

You blush "I'm fine Cas, thank you"

Sam looks at Cas and shrugs before turning back to look at the road. 

You arrive at the abandoned factory.  You grab your gun and your angel blade and begin heading to the right entrance with Cas. 

"Look if you need my help or if you change your mind about going alone, just call for me and I'll come right down"

"Thank you Cas, but I'm sure I'll be ok"

You both enter the side door and he immediately begins making his way up the stairs.  You walk around cautiously with your hand near your gun.  Suddenly a door in front of you slowly begins to open by its self.  You roll your eyes

"I know I shouldn't walk in there, but I also know that I'm going to walk in there"

You begin to slowly make your way in.  It seems to be empty except for what looks like a metal operating table and some knives and tools on the wall. 

"HEY GUYS I THINK I FOUND THE-"

Suddenly a hand clasps over your mouth and you struggle to free yourself from the strong grasp holding your arms to your sides. 

"They can't hear your screams from all the way down here"

"Maybe not, but he can hear my prayers"

You begin to pray to Cas "Cas I found him, he's got me"

"What? You praying to your precious Jesus? C'mon, I knew hunters were dumb but you're 100% stupid"

The demon flings you onto the wall and holds you there. 

"Oh I am going to enjoy hearing you scream" the demon says with a smirk. 

Suddenly, the door flings open and Cas enters looking pissed and hot at the same time. 

The demon looks at Cas "An angel!?" The demon looks back at you, "you bitch!"

The demon grabs a knife off the wall from next to you and swiftly plunges it into your stomach. 

Cas begins to run towards you, "No!!"

"I may not be able to hear your scream but I'll be able to feel your suffering all the way to purgatory"

Cas stabs the demon with the angel blade and you fall from the wall and onto your knees.  You look up at Cas with tears in your eyes and blood dripping from your mouth as you pass out onto the floor. 

"No no no! (Y/N)!? (Y/N) stay with me!"

Cas puts his hand above your wound and begins healing it.  You feel a warm tingly feeling as you are jolted back awake.  You sit up and stare into Cas' eyes. 

"Hey Cas"

Suddenly Cas' lips crash onto yours as Cas puts his hands on your cheeks.  The moment seemed to have lasted an hour yet pass in only a second at the same time.  He pulls away and stares into your eyes. 

"Woah, you miss me that much?"

"Look (Y/N), I've been hiding my feelings for you for awhile and I've realized that I can't keep pretending like I don't like you.  I didn't want to see you get hurt because of me so I pretended like I had no feelings for you to protect you but after seeing you nearly die... I can't let another second go by without me showing you just how much you mean to me"

You begin to tear up as you wrap your arms around his neck.  "I've also liked you for a long time but I didn't say anything because I assumed you didn't feel the same way"

"Well then I'm glad that I finally got the chance to tell you my true feelings"

Cas leans in for another kiss.  The kiss goes on for a while until you hear dean yell

"Ugh C'mon guys get a room!"

You both blush as you get up. 

*clears throat* " ahem, the uh, the demon is dead"

"Ya and I see that you two are real excited about it, c'mon now let's go"

You and Cas walk out to the impala together holding hands the entire ride back.
