Bernaleena ~ Once Upon A Dream (Sleeping Beauty)

It was a peaceful morning in the forest. Allia, a.k.a the lavender hedgehog princess-in-hiding Aleena Rose, was on a stroll with her animal friends, her beautiful voice echoing through the trees.

"Oh, wouldn't it be wonderful?" she talked to her friends as she placed her basket down before sitting down on a rock. "I feel like I would meet my Beloved soon. I'm just sure of it,"

She happily looked up into the clouds, beginning to sing.

"~I know you
I've walked with you Once Upon a Dream~"

She stood up and began to dance.

"~I know you
The gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam~"

Her animal friends were humming along to her song, feeling happy at the melodious voice of the princess.

"~And I know
It's true that visions are seldom
All they seem~

~But if I know you
I know what you'll do~

~You'll love me at once
the way you did Once Upon a Dream~"

The animals watched as she danced and danced, some of them wanting to make her wish come true.

Suddenly, they hear a hum from a nearby stream and they ran over to see a light indigo hedgehog with spiky yellow bangs bathing with her horse to protect her. She was beginning to change into her clothes again but her red coat, red hat and dark red boots were still out and on a huge stone.

Swiftly and with eagerness, the animals swiped the cloths and placed them on before heading back to Allia. The owl placed on the coat, the birds placed on the hat and the rabbits were inside the boots.

When the princess saw them, she laughed happily at the way her friends wanted to make her dream come true.

"Oh, what is this I see?" she played as she sat on a rock and watched her friends make the 'escort' bow and hold out a hand, er, that is, the sleeve of the coat. "Well, I would love to dance with you,"

She stood up and let the animals lead the dance, humming as she did.

"~La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la~"

Back at the stream, the bathing light indigo, female hedgehog, a.k.a Princess Bernadette, finally noticed that her extra cloths were missing and was in panic.

"Oh, where did they go?" she sighed, frustrated. "Who could've taken them?"

As she searched, however, a beautiful, singing voice caught her ears. She turned and looked through the trees, gasping when she saw the other princess singing with her animal friends.

"My, my," she smiled dreamily. "She's so beautiful! And her voice is like an angel's..."

At that moment, she saw the animals having her extra clothes and thought of a plan. She hid behind the trees as Allia and the animals danced towards where she was, with the lavender hedgehog singing as she did.

"~But if I know you
I know what you'll do
You'll love me at once~"

Suddenly, Bernadette came out of hiding, taking Allia's hands and taking the place of the animals as she sang along.

"~~They way you did Once~~"

Allia was surprised to hear another voice with her. When she turned to see who it was, she gasped when she saw another hedgehog holding hands with her.

"Oh my!" she let go and backed away.

"I'm sorry if I frightened you," Bernadette slowly moved closer. "I'm Bernie and I—"

"Oh dear, goodbye!" Allia grabbed her basket and ran, hiding behind a tree.

"Wait—!" Bernie tried to catch up but couldn't find where the other went off to.

The animals were hiding beneath the trees, watching as the spiky blonde princess looked around and searched for the other, singing to catch attention.

I know you the gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam~"

Allia blushed, peeking from where she was hiding until both of their ocean blue eyes met.

"There you are..." Bernie gently advanced towards the other girl, a warm smile on her face.

"~~And I know it's true
that visions are seldom all they seem~"

Allia's eyes lit up before she smiled back, slowly prying herself off the tree.

"~But if I know you
I know what you'll do~"

Both their hands met, their eyes never leaving each other's as they felt theirselves up in the clouds.
