CHAPTER 2: Okay, That's Enough!

HUGE rocks are falling from the sky, covered with smoking flames.

Deafening screams can be heard everywhere, coming from people running away for their lives.

Huge buildings and houses are burning, cars are crashing, dark clouds in the sky are thick and numerous thunderstorms are drumming from above. The world around me is in total chaos while here I am on the ground, witnessing every disasters in front of me.

Hindi ko alam kung bakit 'to nangyayari. But there's only one thing I know now.

Natatakot ako.

People are crying in the verge of life and death. Nangingibabaw ang sigaw, ang takot, at ang pighati. Gulong-gulo ako sa mga nangyayari pero nang tamaan ng malaking tipak ng bato ang isang gusali, at nang mabangga ako ng isa sa mga nagtatakbuhan, I realized...

...I also have to run.

The sky is crying with sharp teardrops of glass shards right now. It's all coming towards us. It makes me ran for my life. I ran faster and faster, for if it reaches me, I know it will be the end of me.

Rain of shards, flaming rocks—what's happening in this world? Lalo ko pang binilisan ang pagtakbo hanggang sa maunahan ko na ang ilang mga tao. My feet are shivering, my sweat are leaking, I'm losing breath. I WANNA STOP RUNNING BUT I SHOULDN'T!

Dahil sa nakaharang na kahoy sa daan ay agad akong natisod at nadapa, hitting the person in front of me that fell, too.

"Ano ba?!" he shouted, stood up and started to run again.

Sinubukan ko pang tumayo but my knees hit the ground again. It made me scream in pain. Napatingin ako dito to find out what's the reason behind, and saw a huge wound with a sharp rock stuck on my right knee.

Bloods are leaking, at medyo malalim ang pagkakabaon ng bato. Napapikit ako nang mariin dahil hindi ko kinaya ang nakita ko.

Tumingala ako upang makita ang paligid, and saw the man that just shouted to me, was hit by a large truck and crashed its body by the wheels. I just closed my eyes again the time I saw the blood squirting like a spilled bucket of water.

I looked behind and saw that the rain of shards was almost there. Another flaming rock fell from the sky, creating a sudden shaking of the ground. Teka hindi ako makakatakbo!

"Tulong!" I shouted to everyone, "TULUNGAN NIYO 'KOOOO!"

Nilibot ko pa ang mga mata ko to find ways until I found a broken car door. I think I can cover my body with this for a while.

Crawling and trying to reach it is hard—it's too far. But the deadly rain is near. I need to get this immediately.

I crawled, stretched my body, and tried again while shouting in pain created by the wound. Okay, nakakalabit na ng mga daliri ko. Konti pa!

"AAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!" I shouted hanggang sa kadulu-duluhan ng boses ko while the pain is slowly killing me.

Finally! I got it!

I pulled it, sat down, then covered the metal part of the car door to my body like an umbrella. All I heard after was the noise created by the shards raining on the car door and on the ground.

Nakahinga ako nang maluwag.

Umulan na ng bubog sa buong paligid. Napatakip na lang ako ng bibig habang nakikita ang pagbaon sa balat ng mga taong naabutan nito—kung paano sila nito unti-unting nilagutan ng hininga.

Napatingin ako sa sugat ko. Sinubukan kong tanggalin 'yung bato, but the pain is killing me kaya napasigaw ako at binitawan ko ito. I bit my lips at naluha na lang.
