Cassidy sighed settling Leia and Noah down to watch the final match of the confederations cup, the brunette ignored the glares from Olalla who was sat away from her with her children.

It had been a couple of days since Cassidy had threatened her husband’s ex-wife and she had a feeling that things would only get worse when they got home; Olalla was already being difficult and refused to allow her children to go anywhere near Cassidy and the twins.

If Fernando wanted to see Nora and Leo then he had to do it where Olalla could watch him to ensure that her children weren’t near the other woman; she often tried to ensure that it was somewhere where she could be with be alone with him and their children.

“So Olalla’s still mad?” Sara asked sitting down next to the brunette, she knew that something had happened between the two women and she had heard that Cassidy had finally snapped; everyone could see that Olalla was jealous about Fernando remarrying.

Cassidy nodded her head as she smiled at the older woman, she knew that everyone had been surprised by Olalla’s presence and a lot of the other women felt a little awkward that she was hanging around when she didn’t belong anymore; she had been the one that had cheated on Fernando and had then nearly destroyed his career by forcing him to move.

“Does she ever stop glaring at you?” Sara asked noticing that Olalla was still glaring at Cassidy, she didn’t know what the other woman wanted especially since all Cassidy had done was protect her marriage from someone who wanted to destroy it.

Olalla was a problem and one that wouldn’t be going away anytime soon, she was always going to be a part of Fernando’s life since she was the mother of his two eldest children.

“I’m sorry,” Cassidy said looking her husband, she knew how hard he had played and how much he had wanted to win the confederations cup; however Brazil had beaten them without breaking into a sweat.

Fernando smiled softly at his wife as he hugged the twins, he didn’t blame her for what had happened and he never would; he knew that he had played his hardest and he had no regrets.

“Congrats on winning Golden Boot,” Cassidy said moving forward and pressed a kiss to his lips, she was proud of him since he had shown that he could still do this; the last few years had been hard on him and his form had suffered a lot because of what had happened.

Fernando grinned into the kiss as he let the twins go so that he could hold their mother, he carefully rested a hand on her flat stomach; his mind was constantly on his mind since she had told him that she was pregnant again.

“I love you,” Fernando said pulling back, they hadn’t told anyone that they were expecting since it was still too early; he didn’t want to risk his wife losing their unborn child.

Cassidy carefully moved his hand as she kissed him again, she could feel Olalla’s eyes on them and she knew that the ex-wife wanted to speak with her husband.

Fernando chuckled allowing Cassidy to deepen the kiss, he knew that she didn’t trust his ex-wife and that the dislike between the two women was growing; he was only glad that Cassidy didn’t try to involve their children, she was smart enough to not try and turn the children against Olalla.

“I love you too,” Cassidy said smiling at her husband, she nodded at him before she moved to collect the twins so that they could head upstairs for bed since it was getting late.

Fernando watched his wife leave with a small smile on his face, he knew that he would never walk away from what he had with her; she had made him who he was after Olalla had destroyed him with her actions.

“You played well,” Olalla said allowing their children to approach their father, she smiled at the look on Fernando’s face as he moved to hug Nora and Leo; she knew she hadn’t been fair to him lately but she didn’t want her children around Cassidy.

Olalla knew that Cassidy had been right, she was messing with her children’s time with their father something that they didn’t get a lot of since she didn’t like them being away from her; they were the last parts of her marriage that she had and she didn’t want to lose them to Fernando’s new family.

“I was thinking we could have dinner,” Olalla said hopefully brushing some hair from her face, she moved forward knowing that this could be her chance; she just needed to show Fernando that they could work out as a family, she needed him to see that Cassidy wasn’t the one for him.

Fernando stopped what he was doing and looked at his ex-wife knowing that he needed to put a stop to her hopes, he didn’t want to led Olalla on when he had no intentions of ever going back to her; he had moved on with his life and she needed to do so to.

“Olalla… you need to stop this, I am having another baby with Cassidy; there is no going back for us, you need to move on,” Fernando said softly releasing his children, he knew that none of this was going to be easy but he was being honest with her; Olalla deserved to be happy and George hadn’t made her that.

Olalla swallowed looking down at her hands, she had known that he would say something like that but she was determined that she wasn’t going to let go; they needed to be a family again, she needed him to love her again.

“You loved me once Fernando…” Olalla said looking at him, she knew that there had to be some way to make him see that the past two and a half years had been a mistake; she knew that he had to still love her.

Fernando sighed looking down at his children, who were watching him curiously and he wished that Olalla wouldn’t constantly use them against him like this.

“And part of me always will… you gave me a beautiful daughter and a handsome son, but that is all we share now,” Fernando said ducking down again and hugged them to him, he knew that Olalla would keep them away from him if she wasn’t going to get her way with his feelings.

Cassidy stared at her ex-husband as she started to realise that there would be no way back for them now; she had wasted too much time apart from him and now it had cost her.

Olalla swallowed the lump that formed in her throat, she knew that she was going to have to move on even if she didn’t want to.

“I’m sorry Olalla,” Fernando said seeing the look on her face, he knew that she had thought that they would one day get back together when she was completely done with George; however he didn’t think that he would ever go back to being that unhappy again.

Olalla nodded her head looking at her children, she had destroyed her own happiness by thinking that George wanted more from her than an affair and to annoy Fernando; now it was clear that he hadn’t wanted her like she had wanted him.

George hadn’t even wanted to know his son when they had been together for the second time and had started working long hours when things had started to go south for them.
