Chapter 10

I quickly shut my eyes as I take in the light from the large glass window beside me. I roll on my side, "ow!" My ass stings as I turn on my side, did I fall down last night? I look around the room. I must be in Carlisle's study. I look to find Edward standing in the corner watching me intently. "My ass hurts by the way" I mumble, his face is amused but he doesn't laugh. He strides over to the hospital bed and sits down next to me.

"How are you?" he asks worry covers his face.

"I'm fine I just..." I notice the bandage covering my arm where it burned, I look up to se Edward scowling at the bandage "what happend to me?" I wisper, he doesn't say anything.

"I was so afraid I was going to loose you" He finally says. He grasps my hand and I flinch because of the temperature of his icy skin, he pulls away.

"NO!" I grab his hand and put it in mine.

"Dane... He tried to change you, he bit you" he rubs the bandage on my arm "I sucked the venom out but I wasn't sure I was going to be able to stop." oh my poor Edward, he looks so sad and scared and confused. He looks down at the bandage again.

"Hey" I lift his chin up with my fingertips "you saved me. Don't beat yourself up about this, you didn't do anything wrong."

"but-"

"enough" I lean over and press my lips to his, I try to deepen the kiss but he pulls back.

" I don't want to hurt you, Mya" I don't want to fight today, " well If you won't kiss me then at least lay with me" he lays down beside me and I rest my head on his chest and slip into unconcisness.

"Alice, are you done yet?" Alice has been playing Mya barbie all afternoon, I have no idea why shes dessing me up. Edward better not be taking me to prom, I will be livid. I mean I like dancing but not in large crowds. "Oh Mya stop complaining. Close your eyes, and... Done."

"Jesus crist, finally" I look in the mirror, damn I look hot! I slip into a strapless floor length lavender dress that's very flowey. Alice holds up some silver heels "no way in hell I'm wearing heels Alice!"

"fine, flats?" she holds up some simple silver flats.

" perfect"

It's about eight in the evening and it's starting to dark outside. Alice stops infront of me and then turns to face me, "close your eyes, no peeking" I do as I'm told and let her lead me outside. " okay open" I open my eyes to see the trees covered in white bulbs, weaving all throughout the small area which is decorated for a reason I don't know.

"it's beautiful" I whisper. I look to see Edward standing in a very sexy tux.

"since you didn't want to go to prom, I brought the prom to you" Edward says with a huge grin plastered on his face.

"I'll just be going" Alice mumbles and scurries into the house. Edward grabs my waist and pulls me into his arms.

"this is beautiful thank you" I say. I hear a firmilar melodey coming from the sound system. "what song is this?" I ask curious

"your lullaby, I recorded me playing so u can take it home tonight!" tears spring in my eyes.

"oh this is just... Perfect" he plants a tender kiss on my cheek and starts to dance taking me with him and we dance the whole night completely in love.
