Chapter 9

He tightened his arms around me and inhaled deeply. “I’ve missed you” he whispered. I still couldn’t believe he was there, it was like a dream. It felt like we were the only two people in the world. He let go of me but kept one arm around my waist as we walked towards Alice, Jasper, Emmett and Carlisle. “What’s the plan Alice?” Carlisle said turning his head towards Alice. Wall looked over at her. “I doubt Edward will like my plan.”

“I don’t want him anywhere near her Alice!”

“Well if you want the plan to work your gonna have to have her near him Edward!” I looked up at him and nodded. He sighed “okay.” The plan Alice explained was easy to remember just stand behind Edward and wait for her to get there, seemed easy enough.

I was antsy, Edward could tell. “You’re going to be fine love.” He said kissing my forehead. “Does Alice know what’s going to happen to me?”I stared at him waiting for an answer “No, he hasn’t made his decision on how he will attempt to kill you.”

He took my hand and I curled up next to him. When the car approached the dance studio my heart started to race. “You’re fine Mya” he opened the door and helped me out. Walking in to the familiar studio made me think of my childhood, I wasn’t that good of a dancer but I loved it anyway. It hadn’t changed much. The lobby had the same black and white tile coved the floors, same wood paneled walls. It was very dark in the hallway leading to the dance rooms. We entered the room I used to dance in; nothing had changed in this room either. Same high ceilings, windows only on the right side of the room, mirrors everywhere, wood floors. We abruptly stopped. Edward was searching the room with his eyes.

I screamed as teeth plunged into my left arm. I fell to the floor howling in pain. I couldn’t see what was happening all I could see was figures moving across the floor. My arm was burning but there was no fire. I was thrusting my body forward trying to shake the burn but nothing was working. My eyes couldn’t focus on anything, my ears were coming in and out and I could hear people talking but I couldn’t make anything out.

Suddenly the burn was fading, and then it was gone. “Just close your eyes and sleep love.” I drifted off into a deep sleep.
