Chapter 1

Tom's view;
I walked in, I was a bit late obviously.. I mean I'm Tom Burren. First day at my new university and I'm late. I was told everyone is in the hall for a meeting so I secretly crept in with no one hearing me. I sat on the closest table. I didn't know them, but still.. I scanned the room looking for my friend that came up with me called joey, after ten minutes of looking I saw him. Saw him sitting on the table with a girl, a beautiful girl, a sexy girl for that.

Now, the thing is Joey is the type of boy that finds it hard to get the girls, it doesn't come naturally to him - whereas it comes naturally to others. But it's fine, I mean he has his wingman with him - obviously I'm talking about me.

After the long meeting which was 1 hour long, Joey finally realised I had turned up. He came running to me to give me a manly hug. I haven't seen this kid for 2 months.

"Oi, Tom, how are things bro?" He said cheerfully

"Yea mate, everything is sound. How about you?"

"Everything's fine. I need to tell you something - it includes you wearing a shirts & for you to come with me" he basically demands me so I have no say in this what so ever.

"Wait, are you at least going to tell me where we will be going?" I question him hoping I'll get an answer soon.

Joey quickly scans the room before telling me -

"I meet this really cute girl today, her name is Lexi. But me being me I couldn't talk to her so instead I talked to her friend Demi"

"Does this story actually go anywhere? Like answering my question?"

"Give me a minute would you! Anyway, I've arranged for a double date type thing - but obviously you & Demi won't hit it off or anything"

"Woow, bro! Hold up, why won't we?" I ask

"Because she has high standards mate" he looks me up & down. with that he winks & we start walking to our dorm.

I didn't think a university had so many stairs. I was climbing them, it felt never ending. Still out of breath yet it's been 30 minutes. We have 2 hours to get ready for this poxy double date thing joey had set up. Yet he's already getting ready.

"Tom you getting ready yet, we have to go soon. There isn't much time - we can't be-" he says in a rush before I cut him off .

"Joey! Dude, chill, we have 2 hours. Ill get ready soon."

An hour goes past, it has to be the most irritating hour ever. It went by so slowly & joey kept on at me telling me to get ready & see if he was looking alright & everything. But we've done it. We're out of the dorm 10 minutes early because joey can't be late.

As soon as we walk out of the dorm joey looks me up & down for the second time today and says "you're not actually wearing that are you?"

With that I reply with a sarcastic comment "nah, I'm going to go back in and go nude, ofc I'm going like this!"

"Black tight jeans, a shirt & vans, really?"

"I look better than you do in that mate. What are you actually wearing?" I ask without any emotion in my voice.

"Chinos, a shirt & dress shoes."

"What have you done with your hair. Here" I rough his hair up & I receive such a dirty look.

"You're such a dick, ffs. Lets go before we are late!"

"Yes sir yes" I shout.
