The moment

Tom's view;
I heard someone walking out of the dorm. I didn't look up, hoping I wasn't noticeable. I don't know what I was hiding from, was it from the embarrassment of not being able to fight back, people feeling sorry. I don't know, I didn't want pitty. I heard them start walking left & going down stairs, I thought I was in the clear, until I felt a body next to me. Not looking up but wanting to know who it was.

"Hey, you alright?" Demi whispers
"How long have you been sitting there?" I say, but the words must of came out as a mumble, I didn't even lift my head to reply to her.
"Tom, look at me"
"I'm really tired" I reply back, lying, I don't want to look at her in her blue eyes, they'll take me in & i'll be made to tell her. Demi's body moves & he arm isn't connected with my arm anymore. I didn't know if she had left or what until I felt a hand go for my chin & lift my head up so I was made to look at her. She had moved so she was sitting directly in front of you. I heard a gasp as she lifted my chin to see the damage.

"What's happened to you? Are you okay! Tom, answer me." She says in a rush.
"I'm fine, seriously, but there's things I should be doing"
I get up & start walking away, I take long strides to the stairs. I heard these little foot steps that sounded like someone running, I felt this small hand on my elbow turning me around so I was facing her.
"Who, who was it?" She asks.
"Seriously Demi, I'm fine, it's just a little bruise"
"A little bruise, please tell me you're not being serious! Have you seen how big it is. I will keep following you until you tell me" she tells me, standing her ground & making it known that I will be forced to answer her questions but not wanting to.

"Demi, go back inside & do what ever you were planning on doing. Please," I beg. I look at her light blue eyes but they take me to another place & I forget about my worries & say
"I'm fine" in a slow voice. Our eyes still locking into one another.
