This is much longer than its extremely short first part. Artwork in the top is actually mine! I was shocked at how good it turned out. Anyway, enjoy!

It had been months since the incident... It hurt, but you were proud of yourself for finally taking a stand. Perhaps you'd cared about him a little too much, and in turn that left an opening for him to abuse the love you gave him. The only real regret you have is being foolish enough to give it in the first place. He'd made it clear from the first day he sauntered through the hotel's doors that he wasn't the kind of person who really cared for things such as 'love'.

'Maybe I could've earned his affection if I dropped a big cut of venison in front of him.' You thought jokingly, this at least pulling a small smile onto your lips.

But that smile faded away as you lapsed into thoughtfulness. Ever since you told him that your affections were better placed elsewhere, Alastor had begun to act very... strange. Well, stranger than usual. You'd made it a point to ignore him on all things outside of working at the hotel, reasoning that continuing to acknowledge him would only give him more openings to abuse your naturally giving nature. This had led to him pestering you non-stop; compliments, threats, random conversation starters, him following you through the market and making it excruciatingly difficult to ignore his presence. All you could do was wonder why, after all the verbal assaults he'd put you through, he chose now to relentlessly bug you.

Maybe he thought it was funny...

That was the most likely answer.

At any rate, it was three days since you last saw the Radio Demon and you thought- you hoped- that he had given up trying to break every ounce of your happiness. Today was your off day, and so you had some time to kill and just generally relax. You slid on a light f/c T-shirt on along with some faded and slightly torn up jeans, before grabbing your wallet.

Before you head out the door, you called over your shoulder to Dustin, who was lazily lounging on the couch watching television. "I'm headed out. Make sure you don't just sit there all day and actually look for a job."

He mumbled a short. "Mmhmm."

You shook your head slightly before leaving; Dustin was your cousin. One of the few relatives that came down to the fiery pit with you. He'd lost his job and gotten kicked out of his apartment a few weeks before, and you told him he could stay at your place under the stern condition that he be searching for a new job every day. For the most part, he'd kept his end of the bargain, but today looked like one of those days he just didn't want to deal with it.

Clearing your head, you travelled down to the coffee shop and got yourself a nice cup to drink while you enjoy the isolation. It was fairly early in the morning, so you were counting that there wouldn't be too many people out and about.

"Y/n, darling~!"

Or maybe not...

You cringed a bit, but didn't answer and continued drinking your coffee with the hopes that he might go away. To no avail... Alastor immediately took the chair next to yours with that wide unsettling smile he always wore.

"I thought I might find you here! Although, I never did understand why you get such sugary coffee. I prefer black myself."

Silence...

He continued, "Erm, well- I have just the perfect thing to go with that coffee at least!"

Somewhat surprised and a little disbelieving at this declaration, you allowed yourself to glance over as he pulled little baggies from his coat pocket. Were those... brownies? He held one out to you, but rather than taking it, you blinked owlishly, giving him a questioning look.
