Can see him actually helping. Probably still terrified but wants to be your hero. or he clings onto you like a fucking koala idk

Probably laughs at you. Annoying you about it until the spider moves - he'd start cursing under his breath and begin to scream too.
Jake:
Dramatic as fuck. Or calm as hell. Depends on his mood - usually dramatic though.. Probably screaming or yelling that you are gonna die
