House Party

I opened the bedroom door and sighed, the room was very big and nice. I guess now I know what it is like living with people with lots of money. I hope I'm not a problem, I usually am. I went to the bathroom and began brushing my teeth and washing my face, I exited the room and closed the door behind me. I cleaned my room, if I'm going to be living here for a while I need to make a good impression.

I went down the stairs and saw Karen making breakfast, she looked at me, smiled "Morning, honey" and turned back to her activity.
"Mal we are having a party this evening, so I need you to look your best" she stated.

I smiled and sat in a chair, I looked at her and blinked "josh will assist you with buying clothes today" I nodded and looked down.

Josh on cue entered the kitchen, he smiled and sit adjacent to me.

"Good morning" I said with a smile

"Morning to you too" he commented and turned to his mom.

"Morning " josh spoke, I looked at josh then Karen we ate breakfast quietly.

"when are we going out?" I asked

"Now actually" karen commented, I followed Karen outside with josh behind me. Karen lead us to the car, as I approached I watched the car, it is the new BMW, black and shiny. I sat in the passenger seat with dropped jaws, josh in the driver seat reversed out of the garage and waved goodbye to Karen.

The drive was silent, but not an awkward silence. I watched josh has he drove, He looked towards me and I looked back quickly. He smiled from the corner of his lips and returned to the road. 'Weird' I thought to myself.

"So where are we going exactly?" I asked. He turned to look at me and smiled, 'man this guy love smiling'
"To the mall" he answered politely.

"So... Where are you from?" He asked, breaking the silence. I turned my head and looked at him, "new York" I answered. I loved new York even though it is cold, its the place to live with family. I got tensed at the thought of my family, their faces, I pushed the thought at the back of my head and looked through the window.

I really miss my home back in the city, but my life has changed now and I have to accept that.

The mall was humongous, I scanned the environment and groaned ' I hate crowds' I thought to myself. Josh looked at me and grabbed me by the wrist.

He dragged me through the crowd, I bumped in a few people and I got tensed, we stopped at a store called H&M, I bought some pants and shirts. I looked over my shoulder and saw josh scanning the isle, I smiled then returned my gaze.

"Wait here!" Josh exclaimed as he ran off. Couple minutes later josh returned. "What was that?" I asked curiously, where did he go, I shook my head and continued.

Then we went to An Old Navy store, and I bought clothes again. Walking down the isle I saw a bracelet, I fetched it from the shelf and read the writing on it.
"you're the best", I can buy this for josh. I went to the cashier and paid for the bracelet, I put it in a box and locked it in my bag.

We were walking for three hours, buying clothes and other stuff, I'm tired and my legs are burning. We stopped at a food court and bought food.

I was eating whilst I saw josh looking at me smiling. I removed my gaze and started blushing, why the hell am I blushing.

"What?" I asked, Josh smirked and took something out of his pocket. "here I bought this for you" I smiled, its a shirt that says ' you are incredible' written in bold. I hesitated then took out the gift I bought for him. "I bought you something too" his smile grew wider and he took the gift. He took out the bracelet out of the box and read it aloud ' you're the best " his smirk grew as well. "I am aren't I?"

"Come on, let's head home" he snapped, I nod, left the mall and emptied our boxes in the trash.

Before you know it we reached the house, we exited the car and approached the house, josh opened the door and we both went inside. I saw Karen cooking "boys get dressed for the party, the guests will be here in half an hour" I nodded and went to my room.

I took off my clothes and went to the bathroom. I stretched to open the door, but then I saw the door swung open. I saw josh with a towel around his waist and droplet falling from his hair. I stared at his well built body and then looked at the floor, he smiled and went to his room.

I went inside the bathroom and started showering. "Oh he's hot" I whispered to myself. I shook my head trying to remove the thought. why am I thinking of a guy like this and not just any guy my 'brother'. I finished washing my hair and returned to my room. I put on the best clothes I could find and walked down the stairs and I realised that the guest have arrived.

"Mal!" Called Karen, I lifted my head to see all the guests heads turned towards me
"Come say hi" she snapped.

I smiled and approached the guests, a women with long black hair and brown eyes spoke "oh Karen this is your son?, he's so handsome". She embraced me into a tight hug, when she broke the hug. I finally had the courage to speak " hi", she laughed at my shyness and pinched my cheeks. "Don't be shy, I'm your aunt Regina". I was approaching the door when someone stopped me. I looked the person in the face with confusion all over mine, he looked an age older than I am. He broke the silence " hey man, I'm Cole nice to meet you" he smiled. I smiled in return "mal" I shifted my gaze to the floor and went to Karen.

"Hi, where's Josh?" I asked, her excitement faded and she answered "I don't know sweetie, go check outside"

I went outside to check on josh, I looked for five minutes until I found him. I approached him and spoke "hi, what you doing?" His head turned to me in surprise, He smiled and place his book on the table in front. "Writing", I shrugged in confusion " writing what?" He took up the book and move over on the bench indicating that I should sit, I hesitated then sat.
He gave me the book and I saw writings, he's writing a song 'about me?' My eyes widened in shook, and I smiled. "Its about me?" I asked.

He smiled then nodded "yeah, the newest member of our family". I tried to hide the blush on my face. He looked me in the eyes "wait here" he blurted, I nodded and he ran off.
