'Why is Everyone kissing me?'

I opened my eyes and let out a groan, I went down the stairs and saw josh and chanté cuddling in the couch while watching TV.

I walked pass them both and he eyed me, I turned my head and went in the kitchen.

I searched the refrigerator, trying to find a snack, I heard someone enter the kitchen, I lifted my gaze and saw josh giving me a sad look.

"Hey, I'm sorry I couldn't take you home, I had to bring chanté to the doctor she-"

"Save it!" I said interrupting his excuse. He looked shocked at my outburst. I was walking away, when he moved in front of me.

"Please, hear me out" he pleaded, I looked to the ground, tears forming in my eyes, I scuffed.

"I don't get you, I don't get this" I shouted, he looked really defeated.

I held my focus to the floor avoiding his eyes. He hold my hand and I looked in his eyes, 'why am I so confused?'

He cuffed my face and planted his lips on mine, the tingling in my stomach returned but I ignored it and broke the kiss.

"D-dont do that, I'm n-not your p-pet okay, just leave me alone" I snapped.
I side stepped him and walk out of the kitchen.

On my way up stairs I saw that the couch empty, Chanté was gone, thank the gods.

I felt awful for snapping at josh, but he deserved it. I opened my bedroom door, dropped on my bed and seconds later I was asleep.

The next morning I woke up feeling bad, I shouldn't have gave josh such a hard time. I went into the hall ready to enter the bathroom, but the door swung open before I could even knock to check if anyone's inside.

Josh looked me in the eye and I noticed his eyes are bloodshot. I inhaled deeply while he glared at me.

"H-hi"

"Hi" I walked pass josh with my head down.

All the feelings that I thought was gone came rushing back the moment I saw his face.

I finished my routine and went back to my room.
I ironed my shirt the exact one that josh got me, a black pants and a converse. When I finished getting dressed I went down the stairs.

Karen and Robert greeted me with a smile "morning"
I smiled in return and took a seat at the table next to josh.

Josh must have noticed the shirt he smiled ''you're wearing the shirt? "

I turned towards him "yeah, its comfortable" I said then the conversation ended, I ate cereal with milk and before you know we were in the car.

Josh aura seemed off, "I'm sorry" we both said in union, josh didn't remove his gaze from the road. I felt guilty for shouting at him, josh then stopped the car at the side walk.

"Why are you sorry?" He asked before turning and faced me. "I'm sorry for shouting at you, that wasn't fair"

"Its okay, it was my fault for leaving you, but I sensed that's not the only reason"

"Yeah....., its just, you kissed me and I thought you like me, but then I saw that you have a girlfriend"

"I do like you, but we just can't work, we're brothers, if anyone found out, it will bring dangerous consequences"

"I understand " I said with a hint of disappointment in my voice.

The rest of the ride was silent, nothing left to say. Josh and I stole glances at each other but that was all.
