Secrets invented

Chapter one

I still remember that night, it was the best day playing with Nightmare but... when I came home I saw them, on the ground in pools of blood.

Everyday since that day I had been in and out of foster care, but I had had enough. I ran away and went to see Nightmare.

"Hey boy, your looking as good as ever" I said between sobs patting Nightmare. It was dark so I could barely see anything other than his one white spot on his face and his white back foot.

Nightmare nudged me, as if telling me everything is ok and to go play with him, so I listened. I jumped the fence and ran around the paddock with him practicing liberty work.

I looked up to the moon to see it was a full moon. Good thing the shifter side prevents my wolf side from shifting on full moons, I thought before I laid down and fell asleep.

I woke up to the sound of crunching leaves outside of the paddock I was in. It was still dark so I was guessing it was a werewolf that transformed. I yelled at the wolf to come out and so he did.

I shifted so the wolf knew not to attack me, I was bigger than him. I had a better build and was a couple inches taller so he knew he couldn't compete against me. He made a sound between and whine and a growl, I think he was asking how I didn't shift because of the moon.

I couldn't tell him could I? I just made a growling sound as if to say I'll tell you later, he knew he would have to show me who he was.

I jumped the fence still in my wolf form, we ran around and just played the whole night, as morning hit we fell asleep.

He woke up before me but didn't move since I had my head on him, as soon as I woke up he walked off and shifted. By the time he got back I was already back in my human form.

"Ronan?! I didn't know you were a wolf" I was surprised.

"I want and need answers, I see you don't have a pack and so you can join us.. if you tell me how u didn't shift" he said with a dominant voice, it didn't effect me but it would effect everyone else.

" I'm not full wolf, my mum was a shifter and my dad was a wolf, the run away alpha" I spoke in a soft voice and tears started to fill my eyes. It was a very touchy subject but what could you expect.

"Wait how?! Were they mates? Why aren't you with them? Where did you go a month ago? What are you doing in my paddock? Are your parents nice? Do they love each other?" He kept bombarding me with questions. I couldn't answer most of them and the ones I could I didn't want to.

"I don't know, they died and that's why I left, I was in foster care and ran away after that. The rest I am not answering," I started crying softly and turned away ready to leave.

"Don't go. You can join our pack and live with me, but you have to look after Nightmare, since you are the only one that can get close to him"

"Ok" I spoke with my head down and we headed to his house, it was big, I mean what did I expect he is the son of the alpha. As soon as I entered the house I could smell it, a sent so sweet. The sent was like a rainforest, I knew what it was. It was my mate.

"Can you call everyone here?" I asked wanting to see who my mate was.

"Everyone come here, I have someone who I want you to meet and dad I need you to let her join the pack" he yelled.

The smell was getting stronger the closer my mate came. As he walked around a corner I started blushing like crazy and he laughed at me. Which made me blush more.

He came over to me and kissed me, everyone that just walked over looked at us as if we were crazy.

"What's your name vanilla?" My mate said in a really nice voice that I can't explain.

"Vanilla?" I questioned the name he gave me, everyone around us didn't say a thing and if they were I wasn't paying any attention.

"You smell like vanilla"

"Ohhhh then that means your name is rainforest" I laughed as I said that. "My name is Elora, Elora black." I said knowing that everyone knew about alpha black -my father- the alpha that ran away.

He looked at me wide eyed before saying "so Elora are you related to the run away alpha?"

"Yep I sure am, my father was a great man, well that's what all the stories say" this touchy subject was brought up again but I can't be sad forever so I pushed past the memories.

"His your father? Can we meet him" the alpha butted in while I was speaking to my mate.

"I.. uhhh..." I looked to the side at Ronan as he knew that they couldn't, I gave him a look as don't tell anyone but make an excuse.

"Dad, mum, how about we go do the paper work for her to join a pack" Ronan said before walking off dragging his parents behind him. That left only my mate and I in the room.

If there are any mistakes please tell me kindly and I'll fix them, this is my first story that I'm making to go public and I also have a bad habit of changing senses of the story, so if this happens just tell me. There won't be an update scheduled as I have school and a lot of other things I have to do, but I will try get one out every couple of days. I hope you enjoy and continue reading this story, I'll explain most the terms later in the story.
