Chapter five

Elora's pov

Why is he so sad, I thought, I left a note and took Nightmare.... he read the note... he saw Nightmare missing.... I should hurry up and do what I was doing.

I quickly packed all the stuff up and saddled Nightmare. I clicked my tongue and we started galloping, we galloped until we made it to a cliff. I set up everything, de-saddled Nightmare and tied him up.

By tomorrow evening I'll be gone. I cried at the thought but carried on with what I planned. I wrote a letter, attached a photo of me when I was a baby, a photo with me and my family before they died and a photo of Leon and I. I put the letter down on the makeshift fence thing, grabbed a rock then placed it on top of the letter to keep the letter down.

After a short little sit down I practice liberty with Nightmare so he had a good memory of me. "Good boy night, imma miss you boy.
You better not forget about me, also you need to let other people look after you. Other people need to look after you when I'm gone." I cried and stuttered that out, patting him. He nudged me, neighed then nudged me again. He could tell I was sad, he was trying to make me happy. At that thought I chuckled a little "your such a good boy."

It was night after that so I grabbed got something to eat and drink and went to sleep.

I woke up at the break of dawn, the sun was bright and birds were chirping, there was no snow left on the ground anymore. "It's time for me to go now" I said not directed at anyone "goodbye Night"

After that I walked to the edge of the cliff and jumped. The water was ice cold and I could see and hear everything, I heard Night neighing and then a rope snap, which meant he got free. I saw the ocean around me and the light shining through. I was sinking to the bottom of the sea, I could tell I was as everything moved further away and the sounds got quieter. I hit the ground and everything went black.

Leon's pov
I've been searching for her all day when all of a sudden it hit me. I screamed and fell to the ground in pain. I couldnt feel her, I was mad, angry, empty, sad, I was every bad emotion at once. "Leon, it's Nightmare" Ronan spoke loudly and pointed to a direction. I ran up to Nightmare and saw he was loose but seemed to have stayed near the same spot at a cliff. There was a makeshift fence so I tied Nightmare and the other horses to it. Then I saw a note I didn't open it, I just pasted it to Ronan and I screamed and screamed and screamed. "How could she! How could she leave me after all this time! I loved her.. I loved her soo much... why.. why.." I screamed at the start then cried.

I didn't know what I could do anymore, my life was over, and it's all his fault. It's all my fathers fault. It's been a month since she died, we haven't found her body but we will continue searching. Nightmare now only lets me near him and that's only to feed or brush him, he won't let me touch him for too long or let me be in his paddock for too long.

'I tried finding him a friend and putting him with other horses but that doesn't help. Me? I'm getting worse and worse everyday, I'm waiting for the day the connection fully dies so I won't feel the pain anymore. I never knew someone could be in so much pain. I want her, I need her, yet I can't have her. She is gone, dead, and will never come back. Maybe if.. maybe if.. I held her the day that fight happened she wouldn't have left. Maybe if we stayed in bed, maybe if we went a bit further that morning she wouldn't of left.

So many things I could have done to stop this from happening but I didn't.'

After I finished writing in my diary I went down stairs. "Hunny would u like some food"

"I'll eat later mum, I need to feed Nightmare" I started heading out the door.

"It's been a while since you ate something, you need to eat, what would Elora think"

"ELORA'S DEAD, SHE'S DEAD AND NOT COMING BACK" I yelled at her, I finally snapped " I'll eat later" I said rudely then walked out the door slamming it shut.

I walked to nightmares pen and gave him food "why don't you let me take you for a ride?" I looked at Nightmare, he just ate then walked off. I sighed and went for a jog since Nightmare wouldn't let me ride him.

When I returned home everyone was already in bed so I ate food, I only ate when no one was around. After food I headed to the room and grabbed one of Elora's shirt, I fell asleep with one every night since they still smelt like her.

Ronan's pov

Day after day Leon makes me go search for Elora, I can't even go to school anymore. I'm impressed that dad hasn't told Leon he can't be alpha anymore, Leon is always so sad. I haven't found my mate and when I do I don't want to loose them but if I did I wouldn't cry about it and mope around all day. Ok, that's a lie, I probably would.

I remember the day when Leon fell to the ground, his scream was ear piercing. It haunts me knowing that someone so strong could go down by something so small.

"Leon? Could I go to school today?" I asked knowing he would say no.

"You can but u are changing schools, you are going to go to the Yelpsons pack and look for Elora, but u will go to school when u are there." I was surprised he said that I was expecting him to say no. " you start tomorrow so go pack your bags" I nodded and packed my bags.

As soon as I went to the territory I smelt my mate, I knew it was wrong since Leon just lost his but I couldn't help it.

The driver dropped me off at the alphas office and I knocked on the door. "Enter" a voice called. I entered the room and there he was sitting down at a small desk in the corner.  "You must be Ronan" I nodded in reply taking my eyes off my mate to look at the alpha.

"Yes sir"

"Your the future alpha of the Tyrant pack, am I right?" I looked back at my mate to see him staring at me, he looked down as soon as he noticed me looking.

"Y-yes sir" I stuttered not reverting my eyes off of my mate. He was so handsome, he had silver blue eyes and blond brown hair.

"This is my beta Ash, he took over for his father when he died"

"Nice to meet you Ash" when I said that his eyes darkened a bit and he came over and kissed me. That was my first ever kiss and will definitely not be the last.
