Leon's pov
I walked down the stairs and grabbed something small to eat before heading out the back door. Sighing, I grabbed my phone and rang a cab.
I walked around to the main road where the cab was picking me up from. When it arrived I jumped in and slammed the door.
"Careful with the door" the driver turned his head and top half of his body looking at me in disgust. "So where to?"
"The airport" I stated fiddling with the seat belt before it finally clicked in. The driver turn back around and started driving.
I looked at the view, I saw nightmare and the made frolicking in their paddock imagining them as a family with a little foal. I chuckled at that thought, I swear I saw and heard the driver smile and look at me as that happened.
I will miss this view but I have to leave, I'm leaving and never coming back. They won't miss me, I doubt they will even realise I'm gone.
"Alpha?" The driver sounded concerned, why are you going to the airport.
"I'm not your alpha, I never will be... I'm leaving and not going to return, don't tell my father" i pleaded.
"Leon, please you can't leave us we will need you." Wait this voice, I recognise it. I thought
"Quinton!?"
"Wow you couldn't even recognise your best friend until I said your name."
"Sorry, hard times." He said a hm sound to agree. "Hey how bout you come with me? We can make our own pack and you can be the beta?"
"Sounds good but won't we be... uhhh.. rogues..?" He sounded nervous when saying that, I don't blame him since rouges are looked down on and killed when seen.
"Only for a short time until we at least 15 members." I looked at him through the car mirror, he looked sad. "What's wrong?"
"I-I can't... I have a family, remember my mate? We had a child, I can't leave"
"She can come with us, come on Quinton, come with me" he sighed and nodded. Then quickly turned to car down a sharp turn, way too late.
"Careful, careful" u chuckled
"Yeah, yeah" he joined in.
And hour and a half drive later we arrived at the airport. "We are here to get a plane ticket"
"Where to and how many?" The lady asked looking at the computer in front of her.
"One closest to the middle of no where that's close to here and there are 3 adults and one child please" I stated.
"That will be $500" she said clicking some things. I handed her the money. "Put your bags up there and go to gate 6" she pointed at a conveyer belt and we all put our suitcases on it.
"Flight 573 boarding now" the speakers blared.
"That's us" I jumped out of my seat and we headed on board.
The views on the flight were amazing and we landed at a small airport in the middle of no where.
"I'll go scout the area you go get us a hotel room" I nodded in the direction for them to go, they nodded in return.
Time to sniff around to make sure it's no ones territory I thought before heading out.
As I arrived at the hotel room I took one last breath this is the last time I will be that person, I'm in a new place this is a new start.
I opened the door and entered to see everyone set up. "I'm going for a shower before heading to bed, first thing tomorrow we are going to go look for a house"
It was a bad night that night, Quinton's daughter, Ashley, kept crying and I couldn't sleep.
