My mate looked at me, tears in my eyes. "Why did you look at Ronan like that?" He questioned looking worried.
"I-I... I miss them" I started crying, I couldn't keep the tears in any longer. My mate moved closer to me and hugged me tight, I could tell I he was worried and that I would need to tell him about what happened soon.
"Shhh, it's ok" he spoke in a soothing voice trying to calm me down.
He held me in his embrace for a couple of minutes before I calmed down enough to tell him. "My parents, they were killed. I was the one to find them, I got sent into foster care and kept changing places until I ran away last night and went to hang out with Nightmare." I spoke, my voice shaky.
"Nightmare?! Are you ok? He is a dangerous horse" I chuckled as he checked to make sure I wasn't hurt, but what he did find was a scar, one I got as a child. My life hasn't been easy, we have been on the run for awhile and lots of people try to hunt us, this scar was when one of them caught me when my parents were working. They tortured me for that whole day, the worst thing they did was grab a knife and cut me from the top right corner to the bottom left corner of my back.
I looked at my mate telling him it was old and to let it go and he sighed in reply. "Rainforest, can I go to bed?" We had been talking forever and it was dark outside.
"Is my name rainforest now?" He chuckled.
"Well I mean you haven't told me your real name so I guess it is" I replied smiling
"My names Leon" I nodded while yawning. "Is my name really that boring?" I thought he was joking but he looked serious.
"What?! No, I'm just tired, I didn't get much sleep last night cause I was playing with Ronan in wolf form" I stated and he looked mad "even though I didn't need to be in wolf form" I muttered under my breathe.
"Seriously you hung out with my younger brother" I rolled my eyes and he continued answering the second thing I said "Is that because you are part shifter?" He asked. I had told him all about me and my past just before so I didn't have to explain much anymore.
"Yep, now can I please go to bed before I pass out" he chuckled until he realised I was being serious.
"Ok follow me, you can share with me" he said as he walked off. I rolled my eyes and ran to catch up with him.
"Just as long as u let me sleep I'm ok with that" i mentioned making sure he took note. I sighed when I realised he wasn't listening to a word I said.
"Huh?" He said just before we got to his room but I just ignored him. "We are here" he said opening the door. The room was huge and mostly black with some white things.
"Heh.. it's like my wolf" I mentioned after taking in the room. He looked at me puzzled. "It's mostly black with some white, my wolf is black with a white stripe down the middle and my tail is fully white." My wolf colour has never been seen before so I wasn't impressed when he looked at me like I was lying.
I walked up to the bed and tucked myself in, Leon (my mate) told me he would be back after a shower. When we got back he slid into the bed and I went and snuggled up close to keep warm since it was winter and just started snowing. He looked down at me and kissed the top of my head before saying goodnight. After that I closed my eyes and fell asleep instantly.

This is kind of just a filler chapter, it will start getting interesting later. The next chapter will be set in a month after she moved and and I will post it sometime this week.
