Chapter III: Computer Criminals

The case of Director Logan Nepomuceno opened a lot of pending and past cases of other high-profiled individuals. Everything that was buried from the ground are now being dig-up. I am fully aware that this will lead to some sacrifices to stop other issues to come out. Elory Esperon just spilled beans to the media. One brave woman.

I wanted to watch the pre- trial against he director which will happen three days from now. Unfortunately, I had a lot of things to do.

"Ma'am, have you heard the news?" Portia gave me a cup of coffee before she sat at the couch across my table.

"Tungkol saan? There are lot of news everywhere." I sipped a bit from my coffee then put the cup on the table. Patuloy pa rin ako sa paghalungkat ng mga files sa laptop ko. Kailangan ko na kasi ipasa ang ilan sa mga clips na hinihingi sa akin ng aming head security.

"The homicide detective who handled the case of Elory Esperon against Director Nepomuceno was poisoned." Nawala agad ang konsentrasyon ko sa laptop. Tiningnan ko si Portia, she's deadly serious. Oftentimes, she tells me jokes even if it will not suit in my kind of jokes. But this time, I know she's telling me a fact.

My heart beat erratically. I cannot believe it. Isa na namang inosente ang nadamay. Nagkasanga-sanga na ang disin sana'y maliit lang na kaso.

"And don't be shock, the girl is from your former school, St. Vitus University." Nagpanting sa tenga ko ang sinabi niya. I almost memorize everyone's profile form from that school because of so many investigation we had handled.

"Who?"

"Tingnan mo na lang sa internet, search mo ang kasong isinampa ni Elory. Magpapakita 'yun sa first search. I forgot the name of the detective. Babae siya. Well, she's a very pretty woman. But I don't exactly remember the name because I was super engross to reading. I think it is sound like Zee...Zeela? I think it's.." Nahihirapan ito sa pag-alala.

"Zeena Sanders." Wala sa sariling tugon ko.

"Oh! 'Yun, siya nga!" Nakangiti niyang saad na para bang malaking tulong ang pagsasabi ko sa kaniya. My heart pounded more. It can't be.

Paanong nadawit siya? At why are people so hype with what happen to her? Anong mayroon? Is she sticking her nose to other people's business again? Why would someone poison her? And of all people, bakit si Sanders pa? And she's now a homicide detective? Damn! Ang dami ko nang 'di alam sa mga buhay nila. Well, wala na talaga akong alam mula nang naghiwa-hiwalay kami.

"Huy, bakit ganiyan ang 'itsura mo? Do you happen to know her?"

Mabilis kong binuksan ang laptop ko. Hindi ko na sinagot ang tanong ni Portia. I opened the browser and search for Elory's name. And Portia is right, marami agad ang nagsulputang mga balita tungkol sa pagka-poison ni Zeena.

She's still in the hospital. Dalawang araw na ito na walang malay. Tiningnan ko ang ibang mga site na mas may detalyadong balita. I was shock to see Anitikos at the scene. May mga larawan na nagkalat at kasali na rito ang dalawang lalaki na nasa tabi ni Aos. What the hell is happening? Paanong nagkaroon ulit ng ugnayan si Aos at Zeena samantalang silang dalawa ang huli kong maiisip na magkikita pa matapos ang lahat? Anitikos was mad when Zeena left us. We separated with an unfinished business.

Something is happening again. I felt it. May kinalaman kaya ito sa Raven Conspiracy?

Tumayo ako. Portia looked at me questioningly. "Are you okay?"

"Yes. But I need to go do something. Can you leave me alone for a while?."

"Okay, call me if you need anything," she said, but her face seems confused. Pag-alis niya, agaran kong hinanap ang papel sa aking drawer. I immediately found the piece of paper where I wrote the email of someone.
