(Glorybringer) Alone in the dark.

A Meeting (Not edited)

(Hello! I'm adding on more, and don't worry, it's still a Glorybringer fanfic, btw if they were a true couple, they could override this small set back I have included!!)

All around the Rainwing village Rainwings were peacefully sleeping, well, at least they were. Until they woke up to a scream coming from deep inside the rainforest, "WHAAAAAAAAAAAT!?!!??"

"Oh come on Deathbringer!" Glory said with a smile, "It'll only be for a while anyway!" He grunted and turned around. "But, no one will be able to protect you as well as I can and you know it. Plus, who would make you mad on a day to day basis?" Glory was taken aback by how sincere his face was, but she quickly pulled her guard back up and continued "Now that any dragon could do without, I'm just one of the unlucky dragons who has to deal with it." Deathbringer just sighed, but Glory could tell he was lightening up. "Plus," she added " I could always have it be Leaf" Glory added.

Deathbringers head jerked up, a growl formed in his throat. "You would NEVER"

"Oh but I would" Leaf was this creepy Rainwing who loved Glory, and kept trying to steal her from Deathbringer. But although every dragon knew she was his and no one else's, Leaf kept popping up and flirting with Glory, he was UNBEARABLE! "Bye, soon not to be my bodyguard!" Glory yelled as she raced into the trees.

Deathbringer sighed, following her. I guess I should at least find some dragon suitable to protect her for a day.

Glory was flying through the trees, following the path she took on the way to the pond. Who would be a good bodyguard? Someone as loyal and trustworthy as Deathbringer was? She tried not to think about how good Deathbringer actually was at his job. He probably was one of the only dragons she would trust with her life. He, Clay, Tsunami (maybe, depends on the day) and herself, were the main dragons she trusted in that way. She trusted Starflight and sunny if different ways. Starflight was always the one to go to for answers to questions fact-related. And Sunny was always encouraging and kind. Glory shook her head, she had to focus. Only one day to find a new bodyguard.

Glory finally decided on a way to find the perfect bodyguard. She called a meeting with some dragons in her rainforest, both Nightwing and Rainwing. And questioned each privately. But to her concern, and Deathbringers amusement, none of the dragons suited her preferences even remotely. " But dying sounds like it would hurt!" One complained when Queen Glory asked if she was willing to risk her life. Another said; "A whole day without suntime!?!?" So on and so forth. Finally, it came to the Nightwings, when the day was nearly over. They were more capable but way less interested.

The end of the line was nearing and Glory had a sinking feeling in her stomach that she would never find a new bodyguard. "Giving up so soon?" Deathbringer questioned smugly. She sighed and responded, "Never, I'd think even SILVER would be better than you." As if on cue a grey shape dropped from the ceiling, and onto Glory's neck.

Finally, as Glory was about to give up a black dragon entered the room, she had a beautiful stance and sharp features. Her wings were folded back so evenly and she walked so straight Glory thought she reminded her of someone. Beside her, Deathbringer gasped and stared at the Nightwing. "Well hello, Deathbringer," Said the Nightwing " I can see you have made yourself busy!" She innocently smiled and paced up to Glory, " Hello Queen Glory, I'm Starcatcher" She said with a small bow. " And I would like to be your new temporary bodyguard"

Glory looked back and forth between them deeply confused but swearing she would not let it show. " Of course, but first may I ask you some questions, Starcatcher?"
