Somehow Glory saying Starcatchers name made Deathbringer shiver, right down to the bone. I can't believe she's here! he thought wonderingly. "So Starcatcher," Glory continued, " I, queen Glory, would like to see if you are capable of being my bodyguard. " Glory's scales showed nothing of her emotion, neither did her face. but somehow Deathbringer knew she was confused and maybe even a little wary of this new Nightwing. He tilted his head, Gazing upon Starcatcher as if she were gold. Deathbringer had been confused as to how she got here. The last thing he knew she was on a top-secret mission, and she couldn't even tell deathbringer what it was. He remembered the day she left as if it happened yesterday.

"Where are you going?" He asked Starcatcher, she laughed and winked at him " Its a secret, but of course, you already know that! That's why you keep pestering me about it!!!" She continued when Deathbringer grinned,"You never care about any of my missions unless I tell you, you can't know about them." Deathbringer touched his talon to his chin and said, " Well, you know, that IS what I do best. Not care unless I can't know. " She just shook her head.

Walking down to the potion center to get a poison dagger, Deathbringer following innocently, (to her great pleasure he was sure) he took notice that the volcano was shaking a little bit. Shaking himself back to the real world he noticed that they were at the entrance to the Poison shop. Deathbringer smiled and said "Go on you little piece of prey, get something useful for your TOP-SECRET mission even I can't know about. " Starcatcher snorted but gladly took this chance to go in and grab a weapon.

Once it was finally time for her to leave, Deathbringer lightly hugged her and gently kissed her. Something they both would never forget.

"Deathbringer?" Queen Glory asked, shaking him back into the real world. "Um.. yes?"

"Are you ready? We going to battle training. To see if Starcatcher can protect me as well as you can." Glory replied with a stern yet trying very hard not to laugh, voice. "You know no one can protect you like me." The queen snorted and got off her throne beckoning for Deathbringer and Starcatcher to follow. Deathbringer followed intently and Starcatcher hesitated before giving in and coming with her and Deathbringer.

Deep within the jungle, Deathbringer noticed that Glory had only asked Starcatcher to do this, not any of the other Nightwings or any of the Rainwings. Maybe Stasrcatcher had actually passed, and Glory trusted her more than the others. It made sense, I mean, Starcatcher had been a fellow assassin, just like Deathbringer. She knows some of the best fightings moves ever. She was second best only to Deathbringer himself. She was also a "prophet" which is why her name was Starcatcher, but when her tutor realized that she was a great fighter, Queen Battlewinner had moved her up and promoted her to be an assassin in training. She learned quickly how to comy others moves and use them against themselves. (Especially for starting at the age of four.) And became a real assassin only a year after Deathbringer.

When Deathbringer finally came back into reality, it was only because the two of them started to fight. Glory was crouched down in an attack position while Starcatcher was hidden in a shadow. Glory suddenly realized that Deathbringer was looking straight at Starcatcher and used that to know where she was. (Like in the challenge for the throne) Grinning Glory looked straight ahead and lunged. She caught Starcatcher by surprise and used it as an advantage. Clawing Starcatchers wings lightly Glory pinned her down on the ground. But Starcatcher, being the bigger dragon, easily knocked her back off and onto a tree. The queen hit the ground with a thud and ran at Starcatcher. but this time Starcatcher was ready.

The "Battle" raged on, but no real injuries were caused because this was not a real battle, they kept their attacks to a minimum and didn't scratch tender areas. At one point Starcatcher pretended to bite the tender spot on Glorys tail and Queen Glory pretended to gasp in pain, before flipping to free herself from Starcatchers grasp. Glory grinned and kept going. By the end of the night, no one was badly hurt but both dragons were panting. Deathbringer thought they both did incredible, especially Glory since she had no real training. "Good job Starcatcher," Announced Glory, "You did great, I will announce the news of you being my new bodyguard tomorrow." And with a smile, the two girls left. Deathbringer finally let the reality drag into his brain, tomorrow he would no longer be Glorys bodyguard. At least not for a little while.

As much as he trusted Starcatcher to fight well, he didn't trust her to protect Queen Glory with everything like Deathbringer would do. Sucking in a deep breath he followed them to the palace. Not feeling very tired Deathbringer took watch tonight, staying just outside of Glorys door. And he sat there all night long, taking in a notice of everything that happened.
