On the 12th hour on the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual, I mean the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began.

So Reginald Hargreeves, eccentric billionaire and adventurer, resolved to locate and adopt as many of the children as possible.

             He got seven of them.

Seven kids, all of them had powers, except for one. Number Seven, Vanya Hargreeves. She was the unfortunate one who had been born with no powers. She had always felt alone, as if no one liked her for she was the different one. That was until Reginald had gotten yet another child, Number Eight, y/n.

y/n was abandoned by her mother only a year after her birth. Reginald, being quite intrigued, adopted her and took her in. She was just like the others, she had powers. Her gift was to heal the hurt and reflect the powers onto herself, she could do it with emotional pain or physical pain. She never told anyone how much pain she was in and no one knew the pain only reflected onto herself, the reason the Hargreeves didn't care.

She got along with all the kids, except five. Five was quite rude to her but deep down she loved him. She didn't know why she cared so deeply for her sibling but she did and it confused her.

One day on a mission Reginald let y/n come along and stay with Vanya and him, watching their siblings fight in envy, wishing they too could fight along with the ones they loved. Number Five had gotten shot in the shoulder but of course he didn't care, he just kept fighting until the end where he told his Father and y/n.

"Heal him, Number Eight!" Their father demanded.

y/n looked over at Five in horror. She had never dealt with something this serious. It was usually just small cuts and this.... this terrified her. I can take in the pain, she kept telling herself as she grabbed Five's arm. He hissed in pain. "S-sorry.. Five..." She shuttered, letting go off his arm and stepping back, afraid she had hurt the boy even more than he already was.

"It's okay, y/n. Just please hurry. This hurts like hell." She nodded and placed her hand on his shoulder. A few seconds later pain shot through her and she fell to the ground and gripped her shoulder tightly.

Five fell to his knees and held her. His eyes grew as wide as saucers as he spotted the blood on her shoulder. The other kids gathered around her and grew confused as Five picked her up bridal style and teleported back to the Academy.

He laid her on the bed and she winced in pain. "What the hell, y/n!" Five spat, taking her coat off.

"I-I..." She was cut off by Five.

"Is it alright if I take your shirt off?" He asked and immediately blushed and covered his face. "To look at your wound I mean!" He corrected himself and she nodded.

He took a heavy breath before removing her shirt and looking at her shoulder. Suddenly the door flew open and it slammed against the wall. "Five!" Reginald yelled, startling them both. Pogo came in behind him and took y/n off. Five ran after them but Father stopped him.

He looked up at him and bit down on his jaw. "Let me go."

Five's hatred only grew for the old man.

Later on Five went and saw y/n, she was going to be okay. From that point on Five and y/n got closer and closer and he became very protective over her.

"In five, four, three, two, one... This is Jim Hellerman, reporting live for Channel 2 News outside the Capital West bank at Main and Sixth. A group of heavily armed mean stormed the bank not three hours ago and took an unknown number of hostages."

The spectacular six were currently in the bank fighting off the robbers as y/n, Vanya and their father stood on a building not far away watching over them.

Reginald stood beside Vanya with his tiny telescope at hand as y/n stood beside Vanya. Both of them not striking up conversation with their father around.

Vanya sighed. "Why can't I go play with the others?" She asked, looking up at him.

"We've been through this before, Number Seven." The helicopters above whirled and the sirens wailed. "I'm afraid there's just nothing special about you." He lowered his telescope and glanced over at her.

"Oh."

y/n stared at Five down below then at the two. "What about me, father?" she questioned, wanting an answer.

"You Number Eight," he started, turning his attention to her. "Would be no use out there in the field, unless someone was hurt." He took once last glance into his telescope before turning around and leaving, the two girls following behind him like little ducklings.

Meanwhile down on the ground in the bank the robbers were on their walkie-talkies. "Hey, get them behind the counter!" One man yelled, waving his gun around as the alarms blared inside.

"Now you've put me in a position where I gotta do something I don't want to do. Hmm?"

A little girl with curly brown hair and a school uniform on came walking out of nowhere up to the man, standing on her tippy toes for a second then back on her heals. "Shit!"

He stared around at his men gathering the hostages around like he ordered and he saw Allison beside him. "Hey, get back with the others," he warned and pointed to his right.

"I heard a rumor."

"What? What did you say?"

She cupped her hand around her mouth. "I heard a rumor that you shot your friend in the foot," she said, her voice echoing.

The man straightened his posture and looked down at his gun before raising it and cocking it. "Hey dude. What the hell?"

The gun went off as it hit the other guy in the foot and he groaned in pain. Hostages screamed as another kid, Luther fell from the ceiling onto the floor where one of the robbers were. He picked him up and threw him out the front window of the bank.

Diego came running. "Guns are for sissies. Real men throw knifes." He lifted his hand and threw his knives straight at the man beside Allison but they curved and hit the man on his left, killing him.

The last man left jumped on the counter and waved his gun at the kids in front of him. "Get back now!"

"Hey, be careful up there, buddy." Diego smiled.

"Yeah, wouldn't want you to get hurt." Allison said.

"Or what!"

Five appeared behind the man sitting indian style on the counter as the man fired a shot but he disappeared before he could get injured. He fired more shots and grunted.

Again, Five appeared behind the man, with his arms crossed. He looked at him and stuck his arm around trying to shoot him but instead he had a stapler in hand.  The boy looked down at it and smiled.

"Ooh! That's one badass stapler!"

The man looked down at it in confusion before Five grabbed his wrist and slammed it against his face, cutting his forehead. He fell off the counter and landed on the floor.

Five smirked and jumped off the counter looking at his siblings.
