Sans P.O.V
Sans was irritated to say the least. When Paps asked you to the fair, Sans nearly choked on his food. What was his brother thinking? Taking a human to a fair. Much less a girl. It'd be like a date! Or...maybe this was a date. The sheer thought of it made Sans boil with Rage.
Why the hell would she ever go out on a date with another guy?! Much less his brother! Was she just that stupid and didn't realize?!
Sans was on the verge of coming undone on Y/N, but then he saw her come down stairs. The outfit she wore looked so damn good on her! Muffet had obviously picked it out. It was a beautiful red blouse, with a red and black skirt, black belt, and black heals. Y/N didn't look to comfortable in it. Not that the clothes were uncomfortable or didn't fit. Just embarrassed that she agreed to wear such an outfit, seeing as her cheeks were a bit pink. Sans felt his cheeks heat up a bit himself and turned away before he could be caught staring. However, he didn't realize he was being watched himself.
Not being able to relax with the though of Y/N going on a date with Paps, Sans followed them to and around the fair. Y/N seemed nervous and hesitant at first, but soon started to enjoy herself. Before long she was running around and smiling like a child. Seeing her so happy and giddy made his soul stir. It peeved him that he wasn't the one making her like that, so he growled.
"Annoyed?" A familiar voice asked. Sans spun around to see Frisk smiling at him.
"What are you talking about?" he asked, turning away.
"You like her, don't you?" Frisk giggled.
Sans tensed up and spun around. "Like hell I like Y/N! She stutters way too much, she's weak and can't even fight! It doesn't matter how kind or cute she is! She'll never make it!"
Frisk let out a loud laugh. "One. I never said who. Two. You called her cute. Three. I saw you holding her this morning."
Sans froze as his cheeks turned a deep red. "I-I have no idea what you're talking about."
"You should tell her, you know."
"I can't," Sans said, with sadness in his voice. "She probably hates me... I spent the year I've known her, making her life hell. I couldn't explain it, but every time I saw her, I just had an urge to pick on her, but whenever I saw someone else do it, it irritated me. No. She'll never except me."
"You won't know for sure if you don't try," Frisk stated. "Don't forget. You've saved her a few times now. Even if you don't realize, her opinion about you may have already changed."
"Heh. I guess you're right."
"So?"
"So what?"
"Are you going to tell her or what?"
"I will... Eventually. I'm gonna see bout gettin'er warmed up to me first."
"Not a bad plan. I'll be rooting for ya!"
"Heh. Thanks kid."
Your P.O.V.
You and Paps finally got back from the fair. Besides feeling like you were watched the whole time, it was fun. You were tired though. You went up to yours and Sans's room. Still just one bed. Instead of going to get a bed today, You and Paps had spent the day at the fair.
"Sharin' ain't so bad~" a familiar voice said before chuckling.
"H-hey S-Sans," You said, feeling more nervous than usual.
"Don't be so tense, sweetheart," Sans said walking up to you. Only now are you becoming aware of the height difference. Despite being shorter than Paps, he was still a few inches taller than you. "I almost got a job at a mattress factory today, but I asked if I could sleep on it." You couldn't help but bust out laughing at the sudden pun, making Sans smile himself.
"When you dream in color, is it a pigment of your imagination?" You laughed again, holding your stomach. "I went to a gig last night too. The guitarist passed out on stage. He must've rocked himself to sleep." At this point you could hardly breathe, but you could pun around too.
"A friend asked me if they could borrow some sleeping pills. I said, 'Sure. Knock yourself out,'" You said and Sans started laughing too. "The male pig puts everyone to sleep. I guess you could say it's quite a boar." You and Sans both fell on the bed laughing.
"I didn't know you were so punny," Sans said with a chuckle. "But I'm still the master."
"I don't doubt that," You replied, still laughing yourself.
"Hey, sweetheart. You stopped stuttering."
"O-oh! I-I'm sorry!" You exclaimed, turning away, bright red.
"Don't be. I like it."
You blushed more hearing Sans say that, but you couldn't bring yourself to say anything. You both sat there in silence for a bit. Sans broke it though.
"What idiot called it 'insomnia' and not 'resisting a rest'?" Sans asked, making you giggle a bit. "What do you call a sleeping bull?"
"What?" You asked.
"A bull dozer," Sans replied and you started laughing again. The rest of the evening you and Sans told puns back and forth till you both eventually got tired and fell asleep.
