Chapter 10

Another two weeks passed by.

In the ten days of school, Yuta never really appeared by your side anymore.

Whenever you happen to bump into him at the hallways or cafeteria, he just walks away, but not before glaring at Jaehyun.

Speaking about Jaehyun, he has been sweet to you. On weekdays, it would start with breakfast that he makes every morning, walking to school together, sitting in class together, having break together, having lunch together, walking back to the dorm together, and having dinner together.

No, both of you don't sleep together.

Basically except for sleeping and washroom, both of you were inseparable. Students in your school even thought you're dating.

Jaehyun never denied though,

and that's the problem.

You have no idea what on earth is going in his mind. He never confessed, never asked you to be his girlfriend, never even mentioned about the thing both of you did two weeks ago. His actions were making you confused too.

Very. Kunfused.

Every time you talk to a boy, he goes next to you and slings an arm around your shoulder then stare intensely at him.

Every time he finds chocolates on his desk, he passes it to you and said "Oh I remember you love chocolates, I don't know where these came from but here, for you." as if it's completely fine to do that.

And every time Yuta passes by, Jaehyun sends daggers to him with his hand grips tightly at yours.

You're at the edge of freaking out.

But nonetheless he's a very good friend.

Very cold at first, but actually a huge soft puppy.

Valentine's day is coming soon, which is also Jaehyun's birthday. You don't know if he has other friends from outside, but you do know he has a younger friend named Mark. He's from the same school as you but you barely met him probably because of different grades. You've only met once at the lobby of the dorm when he came to pass something to Jaehyun.

Other than Mark, there's a boy named Doyoung. He is two years older than you and he is in the student council too. Recently you found out that him and Jaehyun has known each other for a few years when they used to live in the same neighbourhood.

You were planning to invite them to celebrate Jaehyun's birthday together, since Doyoung and Mark knows each other too which you don't know how.

His birthday is in 2 weeks.

You opened the door of the student council room, all the members were seated on the floor getting ready for the meeting.

Suddenly someone pulled you on the arm and you widened your eyes ready for the impact, but it never came.

You opened your eyes only to see a bunny gummy smile.

"Doyoung!" You whined.

"Yah I'm older than you! At least call me oppa." He pulled you next to him.

"You're gross."

Doyoung narrowed his eyes at you but let it slide, you never called him that before anyway.

The meeting went on for two hours. The annual school festival was right around the corner, so everyone had to give ideas and help for some early preparation.

"Doyoung."

He looked at you and blinked so dramatically.

You laughed, "Jaehyun's birthday is coming soon, do you want to celebrate together?"

"Sure! 2 weeks later right?"

"Awww you remember!"

"Puhlease I remember yours too!"

"Oh really?"

"Yeah! Wait till it comes then you'll know if I remember."

You rolled your eyes and laughed at him, then your mind wandered to Jaehyun.

What is he doing now? Did he make friends?

Meanwhile...

"Mark, let's go to the student council room!"

"But why, hyung?"

"L-let's visit Doyoung hyung!"

"Doyoung hyung is probably busy, we're also busy preparing for the performance hyung. Have you practiced your song?"

"That can wait but the student council room can't!"

"But the student council room doesn't even have legs! It won't run away!"

Jaehyun slumped his shoulders and pouted at him. Mark scoffed softly with a grin at his older friend.

Not everyone gets to see that side of Jaehyun.

They were at the corner of the dance club room. Jaehyun had been bugging Mark to accompany him to the student council room for a straight 15 minutes, with the excuse of visiting Doyoung.

Mark rejected because he hasn't thought of anything for the performance yet. He didn't understand why Jaehyun wasn't freaking out because they have to show the recordings to their teacher soon.

Half an hour later, they somehow managed to practice for a while. Mark and a junior, Haechan, having a duet while Jaehyun having a solo performance.

"Mark!"

The latter almost spit his water out in shock, "Ne, hyung?"

"Let's go to the student council room!"

"Not again!"
