After that day, everything went back to normal. Jaehyun never mentioned anything anymore and you were thankful about it.

But another problem appeared.

"Y/N, do you know what day is this Sunday?"

"Umm," You paused dramatically and glanced to see Jaehyun's hopeful smile, "No?"

His smile immediately dropped.

"Okay..." He mumbled and left the living room.

You closed your eyes and silently cursed at yourself.

"Y/N! It's Valentine's day this Sunday!"

"Ahhh really? Do you have a Valentine to give chocolates?"

"Uhh..." He stuttered, not expecting that question, "I do, but I'm not sure whether to..."

"Just go for it!"

"Do you remember what day is it other than Valentine's day?"

"What? No...is it a public holiday?"

"...No..." He said quietly and stood up, "I'm going out to buy some snacks."

And that, he left.

You messed up your hair and groaned.

I can't do this anymore.

"Y/N! I invited Doyoung hyung, Mark, and Haechan over on Sunday. Let's have a meal together!"

"Oh? What's the special occassion?"

"N-nothing! I just wanted to have a meal with us all together."

"Alright then."

His face plastered a pained smile. You were mentally screaming at yourself.

Sunday please come faster, I can't stand it anymore.

"I want to die."

"But you still have a long torturing life to live."

"Doyoung, you're so helpful." You rolled your eyes.

Doyoung showed his gummy smile, "What made you want to die?"

"Jaehyun kept hinting that it's his birthday this Sunday. Every. Single. Day. One day he even asked me twice a day. Urgh God please enlighten me."

Doyoung stifled a laugh, "Did he ask you if you have something to do this Sunday?"

"Yes how did you know?! Did he ask you too? He asked me everyday! I feel so bad that I told him I'm only free for a few hours at night."

"He used to do that to me. Looks like he changed his target."

"Yah why didn't you warn me about it?" You smacked his arm. "He must've feel lonely on his birthday every year if he bugs his friends instead of his family."

"Just two more days, Y/N." He patted my head. "You bought his present right? Come on, I'll bring you back to the dorm."

Argh I'm not ready to see his sad smile again.
