Chapter 6

"C'mon dad!!! Hurry up!!!" I yelled from the living room. Today Cameron has invited me to go to the hotel pool with him and some of his dance friends who are also staying here due to a dance competition they have in a few days. Anyway, I told my dad that I was going to the pool and he started asking all these questions about who I'm going to be there with and so on. I told him it was Cameron and he immediately freaked out. He started going on and on about how boys can't be trusted, that they have dirty minds and how I'm not not going to the pool, dressed up as how I am right now. Let me just say that I'm wearing a bikini, with shorts and a t-shirt over it, so I really just don't see what's wrong with that, but nope, he kept going on and on. So, I just called Cameron and told him I couldn't come because my dad's being a pain, and he just said to bring him and the rest of the boys along, they are still teens anyway. So, I immediately told him and he raced to who knows where. I told the boys and they got up and came 5 minutes, only 5 minutes later but, dad is taking for ages. I've been yelling and yelling his name until I had to go to the kitchen and get a glass of water, because of my throat being so dry.

So, I'm currently on the couch, watching Michael play Pokémon, and when he shut his GameBoy off, everyone announced that they were bored waiting for Calum or dad.

"Then let's just play Twister, he's taking forever so let's so waste time" I suggested.

They all agreed and we all started setting up the game and, that's when started to play and play and play until we all collapsed, and became a glob of human, on a polk-a-dotted mat.

"Okay I'm don- what happened in here?" questioned dad

"Well." I started "you took forever so we just played Twister until we dropped" finished Michael.

"Fascinating" he breathed out "We'll I'm here now so let's go." We all groaned and started entangling our limbs from each other until we we're complete human beings again.

We got off the elevator and headed to the pool area, until we heard faint music. As we got closer, we heard booming music coming from the room, since it's raining we're in the indoor pool. We enter the room and see, what I suppose the entire dance group having a dance off, and Cameron's family cheering them on. I entered the room quietly, without being notice and, the rest of the group followed. We sat there watching them, and when they finally finished we gave them a standing ovation and that's when they noticed we're here.

"Skylar, you made it!!!!" Cameron yelled while running over to me and embracing me in a huge bear hug. We continued to be in this position until I looked up and noticed he was looking at me and I began to blush, then one of his friends came and ruined the moment.

"Hey Truth, aren't you going to introduce us to your friend?"

"Oh, yea. Skylar meet Raj, Raymond, Tyler and Lauryn. Raj, Raymond, Tyler, and Lauryn meet Skylar.

That's when we started to talk to one another, and Lauryn and I instantly clicked. After a while we all traders numbers, even Cameron's family gave me their phone numbers. We we're in the pool, for a few hours playing shark, volleyball and complete nonsense. Then we had to leave because it was getting late and dad didn't want us to turn into raisins. So, I was leaving and that's when my heart started beating so hard it felt as if it was going to explode. I was about to leave when Cameron grabbed me, held me and gave me a soft peck on the cheek and then left with a wink but while smiling so it wasn't seductive and that was when I realized that this day was the best day of my life.
