All of the franxx's, except for Chlorophytum had arrived at the magma mine. They all were surprised by the size that the mine had, in the center, there was a deep, deep hole.
"That's a big hole, how far do you think it goes?", Kokoro asked the other parasites.
Zorome then pointed up, "Do you see that pipe! It's a monster!"
Shocked Goro barely managed to say, "They use these to extract the magma reserves?"
"Head down to level 8", Hachi told the parasites through a COM. "As your well aware by now in order to completely neutralize a Klaxosaur, you must first extract its core, which is essentially its heart. And shatter it using a customized magma energy weapon. With the core destroyed so is the Klaxosaur. Got that!", Hachi asked.
"Roger!", the parasites said.
"Proceeding to objective", Sina reported to Hachi. "Both of you follow behind Delphinium", Sina ordered.
"Okay", both Argentea and Genista said.
Back at the Hangar....................
"Is there something wrong, do you feel weird Misturu", Nana asked in a sweet tone.
"No, I felt the same, but Ikuno was the one not compatible", he responded.
"What about you Naomi, did you not feel well?", Nana asked the girl.
"No, I just wanted Ikuno to pilot with Sina so she could feel better", everybody turned to look at her with surprised faces. "Most of the time before I pilot Colossal with Sina, I always feel nervous or worried. But for some reason every time I start piloting, I feel perfect, like if Sina was making me feel 100%.", she said with a smile.
"Interesting, we might look into that deeper, but for now, it'll have to wait. We know for a fact that both of you are not compatible to ride a franxx together", Nana stated.
Mitsuru then spoke, "Pardon but if I may, is it possible that the two of us simply have a compatibility issue".
"A lot of teens go through this first, but don't worry, it isn't grounds for splitting you two up", Nana replied.
Zorome had a blank stare, "Is that so", he replied.
Suddenly there was a buzzer going off, it was a notification from Colossal.
"We have visual on the Klaxosaur, franxx spreading out. We're in position, beginning the operation", Sina said.
"Wow it's smaller than I thought it would be", Miku said while everyone stared at the small Klaxosaur.
"What a relief", Kokoro agreed.
Ikuno the spoke, "Stay sharp, we don't know what we are handling yet".
"Ikunos right, Stay alert and just stick to the plan alright", Ichigo ordered.
Delphinium the headed in and stabbed the Klaxosaur twice before it bounced away. It then spread out legs and an eye-opening, at first glance it seemed like it was a spider. Before the Klaxosaur could react, Genista came from behind it and stabbed. She then threw it over her into the air. Here, both Colossal and Argentea reeled in their arms ready for a punch.
"Got you now!", Zorome yelled, both Colossal and Argentea hit the Klaxosuar with everything they had. They managed to cut it open with their strength.
"Way to go Zorome!", Futoshi yelled.
The other parasites and Nana were watching the battle and were relieved that they beat the Klaxosaur.
"They won!", Hiro cheered.
